It seems like so many times recently during prayer I am reminded of the Prophet Elijah casting his mantle on Elisha. In that single moment a spiritual calling was released and an invitation to come up higher was given. This moment would not be recorded in Scripture if Elisha did not discern the weight of what was taking place. 
"So he departed thence, and found Elisha the son of Shaphat, who was plowing with twelve yoke of oxen before him, and he with the twelfth: and Elijah passed by him, and cast his mantle upon him" (1 Kin. 19:19).
Elisha was being called by God to take the mantle of a prophetic father and advance! I so clearly hear the rumbling of revival in this hour. There is a transition that is taking place, and a generation of people are arising in the earth who long for the outpouring of the presence of God. 
We have read the books about the great healing ministers, powerful prophets and renowned revivalists who have gone on before us. When they died they left their mantles on earth waiting to be claimed and taken to the next level. It is time that this generation makes spiritual history! It is time that we have a fresh outpouring of power, miracles and awakening.
In a time of prayer recently a powerful word of the Lord came to me about the mantles being released:
I am calling this generation forth to move in the supernatural. Even as the church in the book of Acts went from place to place with power and demonstration, so am I calling this generation to move in power and demonstration. No longer shall the hand of man prevail; no longer shall the wisdom of man stand. 
I have invested the power and authority of My kingdom inside of My family, My sons and daughters. There is an awakening unto fullness, fullness of sonship, fullness of covenant, fullness of position and grace in Me, there is an awakening to the fullness of My power, My kingdom that I have called you to carry. There is a banner of fire being cast over this generation, and I am raising up voices who will release My wind and My breath upon the embers in order to fan the flame. 
This generation is called and marked to burn for Me. This generation is called unto the supernatural. I am raising up and establishing healing ministries in the earth as a sign and a wonder. I am sending forth prophetic ministries in the earth to awaken My people from their slumber and call them back to My heart. The spirit of slumber has blinded the eyes of many and they have been asleep at the wheel while destined journeys and planned exploits have crashed in the spirit and not been fulfilled because they were driving with their eyes closed! 
I am calling them to wake and move with Me. I am casting the mantle upon My people! I am casting the mantle of supernatural ministry upon My people. I am calling them to arise into the kingdom. The kingdom is supernatural. My sons and daughters are supernatural people called to signs and wonders. There is a generation that is arising in the earth that shall walk in uncommon faith and do uncommon exploits by my spirit.

Friend, I believe that this is the word of the Lord for you and me! God is calling His people to move in the supernatural. A new era of revival is beginning, and you have a part in it. Heaven has no small assignments! Let us be like Elisha and recognize the moment that we are living in. Jesus is inviting us to move deeper and allow Him to shine brighter through us. My prayer is that we receive the mantle of fire and go forth blazing with the fire of revival! "For our God is a consuming fire" (Heb. 12:29).

Protection in the coming chaos and rioting.

Word from the Father:

Oh, My children, hear your Heavenly Father this day.  Soon chaos and rioting will be the norm.  I do not want you unprotected when this happens.  It is imperative that you all get close to Me now.  Seek Me in your secret closets, the secret chambers of your hearts.  Get alone with Me, and often.  If you would draw nigh unto Me, I will draw nigh unto you.

Now listen to your Heavenly Father this day.  When chaos and rioting fills the streets, I do not want any of you to be in harm’s way. Therefore, you each must learn to be led by My Spirit even in the smallest of details throughout your day.  And each morning you must seek Me in what you should do for that day.  It may be that I will tell you not to leave your home for work.  This will be for your own protection.

It is My deep desire to protect My own in the coming days.  But I cannot protect those that stray from My will for them.

It is not a small thing when one of My own fall prey to the enemy. I take guarding My children very serious.  But you MUST obey Me to have My protection.  I will guide and lead each of you to where you will be safe.  But if you stray on your own, then you shall be open prey to the enemy.  I do not desire this for you.

Oh, but many of you believe that you have My protection merely because you carry My Son’s name.  Well I tell you each now, yes it is true that I shall protect those that carry My Son’s name.  But this is ONLY provided that you spend time with Me in your secret chambers and do what I say.  Have you not read in My word that those who dwell in the secret place of the Most High shall abide under My shadow, which is your protection?  So do you think that you can dwell in My secret place while doing your own thing? Nonsense…….

So hear Me now.  Get alone in your secret closets with Me and often.  You must learn to hear My inner voice directing each of you.  This chaos and rioting is coming soon and I do not want you unprotected when it comes.  So again, I say, get into your secret closets with Me each day and often.  I shall meet with each of you if you do this in honor of Me.  For I love each of you with an everlasting love and do not desire evil to befall any of you.

I love you, My little ones.  So heed your Heavenly Father this day and carry My protection upon you in the coming days of terror.

***Personal note.  My pastor has told me that the Lord has told him on several occasions that it is imperative that we learn to clearly hear the Lord’s voice at all times throughout the day.  And we are to be ‘instant’ in both hearing and obeying Him because we won’t know what will happen throughout the course of a day and so our very lives will depend on it in the days ahead.

In the midst of international and national crisis, economic instability, and attacks against religious freedom, I am fully confident of God's prophetic promises in His written Word. He said without reservation, that the increase of His government and peace will not cease (see Isaiah 9:7). Not only will His Kingdom and peace increase, He will zealously establish that increase with justice and righteousness.
We receive His promises as solid and prevailing truth especially as we are systematically oversaturated with news of injustice around the globe. Jesus is passionately bringing forth His Church as a glorious and beautiful Bride in the earth. She will shine! No matter what happens, Christ's Church "WINS!"
Since His Kingdom on earth is increasing, this translates into the visible increase of spiritual authority of His Church. What do I mean by spiritual authority? We all have the authority to govern planet earth "in Jesus name." That has both spiritual and natural implications, but it all begins in the spirit realm. I'm sure you've heard this before, "First the spiritual, then the natural." We deal with the spirit of the matter first and the natural will adjust itself accordingly. Our Spiritual Authority Will Increase

We've been designated priests and kings in the earth and our spiritual authority is tied into those designations in Christ. We exercise this authority primarily in prayer and also by releasing prophetic words and prophetic actions that dismantle darkness and bring the illuminating light of God into situations. We then move into strategic action into the affairs of nations as we do what we "see the Father doing."
I've often found that we have things legally available to us in God, but living it out is a whole different matter. This is what I mean when I say "our spiritual authority will increase". It's probably better to say that we will see a visible increase of authority as we understand the spiritual realm more clearly and apply what we know more precisely.
How does the Church grow in spiritual authority?
The Church grows in authority by gaining fresh understanding of the spiritual realm and applying these truths victoriously. Out of conscientiousness to not offend God or cross any lines Biblically, many have rejected unusual spiritual experiences and even hidden their personal stories of breakthrough. Why? Because their breakthrough happened in ways they couldn't yet explain from the Word of God. I've had this happen many times personally and had to sit on things for a season until I could clarify it in plain language and from Biblical precedent.
For example, when I was a new Christian it was not accepted for a Christian to have demonic problems in the ways that I was having. I had to be delivered from occult spirits a year after I was saved and baptized in the Holy Spirit. It took time for me to explain that experience from the Bible to those who were not aware that Christians can and do have spiritual problems.
What I'm seeing in the future is the Church accelerating in decoding spiritual mysteries and cracking new codes in the spiritual realm. Jesus is on a mission to set people free and He is going to teach His Church how to do that better.

Just like the apostle Peter, you will stumble into new truth and then have to work it out afterward. You recall that Peter fell into a trance in Acts 10 and was instructed in the trance to accept Gentiles into the faith. Previously Gentiles were off limits to Jews and considered unclean. Peter had an experience with new truth and then had to process it out and test its validity.
Just like Peter, we too will be stumbling into more and more truth. We will then have to do our homework and test it and validate it through the written Word. I have discovered that every time I've had such an experience, I can always find it somewhere in the written Word. This is a key protocol that we have to have when introducing new patterns and protocols to the Body of Christ. The results, however, will entice us to shift our thinking and embrace something new.

Unlocking Mysteries

Another big challenge will be to find language to explain what has been newly discovered. Spiritual mysteries often remain mysteries because we don't have the language or the understanding to grasp it. Many such revelations will have deep spiritual implications and go beyond our human language. We will have to craft linear explanation to help others grasp things that are intangible, but effective. Not explaining things properly can cause truths to be rejected instead of embraced. We must think before we speak and not promote new things as spiritual fads, but push it as solid and proven truth.
This quest to unlock mysteries will be fueled by personalized promises and mandates to deliver lands, spiritual atmospheres, and whole nations IN A DAY. The drive to see people freed from spiritual, emotional, and physical bondage, and things assigned to them by culture, will drive the search to crack new spiritual codes for freedom. We will go beyond what we know now.
The Lord is saying to "Keep asking, seeking, and knocking. Don't stop knocking!" God is releasing bigger vision, wider mandates, and opening the storehouses of mysteries so you can get the job done. (Photo of Warrior's Heart by Jennifer Page via elijahshopper.com)
With new understanding will come new teachings. Our present teachings about the spiritual realm, spiritual warfare, prophetic intercession, etc. are often methodology based on Biblical truths and genuine personal testimony. For example, a widely-used prayer model for physical healing is actually a methodology based on the Bible and crafted from many testimonies. We use this prayer model at our church fairly effectively, but we are ready to adjust it once a more efficient model is discovered and tested to be true.
Our methods and subsequently our teachings will experience a shift as we crack new codes and gain new testimonies of deeper deliverances. There will be new methodology! The Lord is exhorting us to patiently test such things, hold fast to what is good, but not to hastily reject new things. We will also have to take the appropriate time to develop "bridging" communication and not turn new truths into just popular fads that will fade.
He's increasing your storehouse of unlocked mysteries! These mysteries will communicate the manifold wisdom of God and create whole new sounds of wonder in the earth. People and places absolutely lost and beyond hope will emerge out of deep darkness and truly shine with the light of God.

“Feeling Spiritually Attacked Lately?”

I just felt led to encourage some of you who have been feeling especially spiritually attacked lately more than usual. You see, I believe that the Lord has been allowing us to have our spiritual warfare skills upgraded lately just before this outpouring of His power comes in order to strengthen and help us to stand when it does come. So that may be why these spiritual sparring-partners have surfaced.
So, some of you have been getting hammered lately especially by the evil spirits of Jezebel, mind control, witchcraft, physical attacks, confusion, fear, torment; and a number of other spirits; and by the people cooperating with those spirits. It’s meant to intimidate and oppress you to your breaking point in order to get you discouraged and angry at the Lord; but this can actually work in your favor.
Most of us have had unhealed areas of fear and distrust toward the Lord because of bad things that have happened to us where a root of fear began to grow, rather than faith. So in order to deliver you of this fear and to get you to stop trying to control things in the flesh in order to protect yourself, God is allowing you to face your fears and to fight with His Spirit and Word in order to finally overcome it.
This warfare can help us by getting us to fully repent and to start seeking God with all of our hearts. The keys to fighting back are; worship, full and complete repentance (no more mixture), praying in the Spirit, rebuking and binding up these spirits, and also by praying for your oppressors instead of trying to fight them in the flesh. Jesus has given us His authority, so fight and deliverance will come!

In your walk with Me you have experienced different
levels of frustration. Sometimes this has been very
hard for you as you have kept going even when you have
not been able to see clearly or did not have a vision
for what is ahead. This I have done to test your
faith to see if you will trust Me above all else. I am
omnipresent and all knowing, I knew you before you
were formed, and I will complete the work I began.
My ways are not your ways. Therefore, as you have
called out to Me I have answered you. I have placed
within you a deep longing after Me. When you feel like
you are losing everything and you still choose to
follow Me, you will find life. Only by taking up your
cross and following Me will you gain My fullness. Your
trust must not even be in your own understanding, but
rather you must lay down your own agenda and let My
Spirit fill you with fresh revelation and a deep
understanding, for the days ahead are being shortened!
I always look to the heart and I see the seed that I
planted in you. I am now calling it forth. My greatest
delight is when I can see you come into your whole
purpose that I created you for. This is when I see Me
in you, and you in Me.
Use every chance you have to know Me and to let Me
lead you by My Spirit. Your reward will be great, as
the time is drawing near for My return.

I have been asking God this question for the last few months, "Lord, I
know the old wine skins of the church systems are passing away, what
is the new wine skin you are forming going to look like? "
Two days ago I was watching a show about bees. We have all heard
that the honey bees, are dying. There is colony death due to mites and
disease. Bees are known pollinators of fruit trees. Scientists are
worried. Honey bees live in colonies, with only one fertile queen. The
queen is the only one who lays eggs. All the other bees live to serve
the queen and protect the hive. The majority of the bees spend time
building a hive, and, collecting food to make honey, but they are unable
to lay eggs, because they are not fed royal jelly. Any queen larvae who
hatches after the queen bee emerges is killed. These are the honey
bees
But unnoticed generally, is another kind of bee-the solitary bee or
communal bee. These bees do not live in colonies. Instead, they live
in individual hives with only one bee. The solitary bee builds its own
hive. Often these bees build their individual hives close to other hives of
solitary bees. They seem to live in community.
All the female bees of this species, are fertile queens and can lay
eggs. In other words, they all bear fruit. Additionally, all the female
queens collect pollen and nectar. They perform all the functions and
are fertile.
In addition to this, these solitary bees who live in communities are
better pollinators than the honey bees. If you need a 100 honey bees to
pollinate a field, it only takes 20 solitary bees.
As the commentator was speaking of this, I felt a nudge from the Holy
Spirit.
Almost like a whisper, He said, "and so I will build my church."
No more will My people, be used like worker bees to build someone
else's castle. No more will they sit passively watching My glory being
stolen by another.. Instead, everyone of them will be empowered and
set free to finish the commission I set before them. All of them, will be
disciple makers, demon crushers, sickness eradicators. Where ever
they go, they will spread the pollen of my Spirit and much fruit will be
borne. Wastelands will become filled with life.

This is all I have for now.

The incredible heaviness/darkness/OPPOSITION you have been facing has simply come to abort you from your MISSION.

The key in this time is to draw closer to Him and LISTEN and NOTHING will be left MISSING.

It is time to step up to the FRONT LINE and do what you were called to do..... SHINE, the Lord has been confirming to you over and over "NOW IS YOUR TIME".

This is a crucial moment, as much as you want to hide and move aside, keep moving forward, all things are about to ALIGN.

Don't be discouraged about the parts of your heart and life that need healing, He is going to meet you in your kneeling and the hurt layers of your heart and soul will begin peeling.

Do not fear, the Lord is near, keep listening to Him, He is whispering in your ear. It is time to step up, don't let shame and fear shut you up, the Glory of the Lord IN and through YOU is about to ERUPT.

I sensed many walking through the wilderness, tired, raw and sore and longing for more. Many are feeling like they are wandering "aimlessly" looking for "contentment". The answer that is going to bring the "breakthrough" that they desire and need in their life. There was such a weariness over these people of God as they go from one place to another looking for that "answer" that is going to settle the anxiety, settle the searching and settle weariness.
I sensed the words "the answer is found in your Creator and from "in Him" you will find your escalator."
Make seeking Him your first priority. Seek to know His heart. As you draw near to God, He is drawing near to you. There is a place of abundance in Him that the Lord is woo-ing His people into. The "answer" is found IN HIM! In deeper intimacy and encounter with Him. Do not be frustrated by the journey but know it is an invitation into deeper encounter with Him.
He wants His people to discover a new level of intimacy. A new level of dancing the divine dance with Him. A new level of being wrapped in arms of love, comfort, peace and safety. He is inviting you deeper. There will be a "free flow" domino effect of breakthrough and escalation in the seeking of Him.
There is a beautiful invitation in your frustration to a deeper level of the glorious divine dance. What you will see in accepting this invitation will change everything. The encounter with His heart will change the atmosphere around you. This is not only a season of divine opportunity, favour and promotion, but also a season of deeper intimacy with Him. In that place of intimacy and encounter what will be released will be more accelerated and glorious than could have been built in years. Suddenly things will be established and fruitful and explode with His Glory through encounter. Kingdom keys, wisdom, breakthrough, revelation, creative ideas all birthed out of the encounters with Him.
He is inviting His people deeper. Do whatever you have to do to get deeper with Him. Not out of striving to receive but POSITIONING to SEE.
The answer is JESUS!
Seek your Creator and know that in that place of deep intimacy is the great escalator. From "in Him" you shall find your escalator.

Lukewarm! August 2014 will reveal which side many are on. I need My people to be either hot or cold!  I will spit out of My mouth the lukewarm (Revelations 3:16).  My people are too comfortable!  I need those who are on fire for Me, says the Spirit of the LORD! I heard the Spirit of the LORD shout, "REALIGN!"  A realignment is taking place in the spirit realm.  This realignment will create a stir on earth as those who refuse to align will find themselves ousted from lofty positions of self-inflicted rebellion.  A new group of individuals will arise.  These are those who have aligned with Father.  They will be equipped to move with uncommon faith and  grace. Out of season.   The weather is out of season.  An acceleration of time has begun.  The new is here!  Prepare for an unusual Autumn.  Embrace the new.  Let go of the old.  Press into Me!  Listen to My voice!  Take heed to what I say, says the Spirit of the LORD. Cracked grounds and raging waters.  I saw the ground crack.  Suddenly, without warning, the ground popped and a large, wide line ripped open the earth.  The infrastructure of the asphalt is too much for the rapidly changing weather.  Next, I saw the bubbling, playful waters of the Mississippi bob its way down through several states, twisting and turning, swirling and bouncing!  The waters grew higher and higher until it spilled over into the land and surrounding homes.  "Not again!" I heard the people say.  But God is sending the waters to awaken the people to His mercy! Pray for the transportation system. Air, train, or auto don't leave home without prayer.  There is a growing push to increase fear and anxiety in the hearts of many.  Hide in God and He will cover you in the days to come.   Prayer Points: America. The infrastructure is changing.  Stay abreast of what is taking place in the spiritual realm. Ask God for mercy! Many nations will turn against America.  Return, return, return to Me, says the Spirit of the LORD. Pray for North Korea.  [Continue praying for North Korea]. Threats, threats, and more threats.  And without prayer the threats will become reality.  PRAY! Pray for Israel.  Pray for her peace and safety.  Pray for the protection of those who are in the line of fire.  Pray that the enemy will not alter the times and seasons of God. Pray against the spirit of death! The enemy wants to use man created viral diseases to prematurely snatch the lives of many. Pray for Russia, Pakistan, France, Europe (especially Rome and , China, Kenya, Northwestern part of the U.S., and locations around the ring of fire!

14If God’s promise is only for those who obey the law, then faith is not necessary and the promise is pointless. 15For the law always brings punishment on those who try to obey it. (The only way to avoid breaking the law is to have no law to break!)

16So the promise is received by faith. It is given as a free gift. And we are all certain to receive it, whether or not we live according to the law of Moses, if we have faith like Abraham’s. For Abraham is the father of all who believe. 17That is what the Scriptures mean when God told him, “I have made you the father of many nations.” This happened because Abraham believed in the God who brings the dead back to life and who creates new things out of nothing.

18Even when there was no reason for hope, Abraham kept hoping—believing that he would become the father of many nations. For God had said to him, “That’s how many descendants you will have!” 19And Abraham’s faith did not weaken, even though, at about 100 years of age, he figured his body was as good as dead—and so was Sarah’s womb.

20Abraham never wavered in believing God’s promise. In fact, his faith grew stronger, and in this he brought glory to God. 21He was fully convinced that God is able to do whatever he promises. 22And because of Abraham’s faith, God counted him as righteous. 23And when God counted him as righteous, it wasn’t just for Abraham’s benefit. It was recorded 24for our benefit, too, assuring us that God will also count us as righteous if we believe in him, the one who raised Jesus our Lord from the dead. 25He was handed over to die because of our sins, and he was raised to life to make us right with God.

I believe this is a very timely and needed word of encouragement by
Shelley Mathis to the Body of Christ in this season of transitioning and
transformation.

In a dream, I found myself standing on the bank of a river of fire. A
pathway of stepping stones floated across the surface of the fiery
waves. The stones were precious stones of various types and colors. I
knew that I was to journey across through the river by walking on those
stones.

Then, I heard the Lord’s voice behind me saying, “This river of fire
represents the various trials I have sent to test your faith. I find it
needful to purify your faith from doubt and fear and to strengthen it
through exercise. The precious stones represent the revelations that I
will bring to you as you purpose to shed the unbelief and false concepts
of Me. As the unbelief is consumed by the fire, the revelations of truth
will lead you through the trials in victory. Through the process, you will
come to know Me as never before; you will possess a purified and
genuine faith; and you will rejoice in the good brought about by the river
of fire.”

We do not have to go out looking for our river of fire; it comes to us
according to God’s perfect design and is exactly what we need. (Ouch!
that truth hurts.) We never want our faith challenged, but the Lord
knows that it is needful for its purification and strengthening. The only
way for it to be a strong, personal possession is for it to be tested and
trained through exercise.

1 Peter 1:6-7
6 In this you greatly rejoice, though now for a little while, if need be, you
have been grieved by various trials, 7 that the genuineness of your
faith, being much more precious than gold that perishes, though it is
tested by fire, may be found to praise, honor, and glory at the revelation
of Jesus Christ…

Our flesh reaction to the various trials tends to be discouragement,
offense, anger, victimization, self-pity, fear, etc. If we allow our flesh to
rule, we will miss out on the Lord's perspective and purpose in the fiery
circumstances. The war between our flesh and our spirit is the critical
junction that determines our victory or defeat.

Is your confidence wavering in the face of threatening circumstances?
Dare to journey through your river of fire. Ascend into the spirit to see
that the Lord is neither against you, nor punishing you, but rather
forging in you a valuable faith in Him that is more precious than gold.
Purpose to trust wholeheartedly and adventure with Jesus through the
fire. Be bold and courageous!

Part 2: Stepping Stones

After the dream, I earnestly sought the Lord for further revelation about
the river of fire. He answered in a vision:

I found myself standing on the bank of the river of fire, and I heard Him
say, “The revelation you need for victory in the fire will be revealed
when you step out on the first precious stone.”

Apprehension gripped me as I studied the floating stones. The stone
before me looked barely large enough for my two feet and appeared
completely unstable. Right then the light of the fire exposed nasty black
ropes entangled about my body. These doubts, fears, and unbelief
were pinning me to the bank. Would I stay bound or venture forth? I
chose to take a leap of faith and stretched out my foot to step onto the
stone. The ropes tore away from the bank, although they continued to
drape heavily over my shoulders. As soon as my feet were side by side
and my full weight was on the stone, it transformed into a pillar that
reached to the bottom of the river and held me securely above the
burning flames.

Proverbs 3:5-6
5 Trust in the LORD with all your heart, and lean not on your own
understanding;
6 In all your ways acknowledge Him, and He shall direct your paths.

The river of fire exposes our unbelief, doubts, and fears – which are the
very things that dirty our faith and hinder it from working. Unbelief
elevates our carnal understanding above the Lord's Word. Doubt is a
distrust of His character and nature revealed in His Word. Fear is sin
that separates us from the Lord. If we stubbornly refuse to address
these sins, they will hold us in a vise of bondage that prevents the
glorious work of liberty wrought in the fires.

God is looking for a people of faith who will no longer just profess His
Word. He desires that we step out with our “full weight” and make the
required transaction to commit our hearts into the vise of absolute faith,
and thus allow the revelation of truth to become a sure foundation.

Isaiah 28:16
16 Therefore thus says the Lord GOD: “Behold, I lay in Zion a stone for
a foundation, a tried stone, a precious cornerstone, a sure foundation;
whoever believes will not act hastily.

In the dream, He had said, “The precious stones represent the
revelations that I will bring to you as you purpose to shed the unbelief
and false concepts of Me.”

The stone we step out on is the truth of what God's Word says about
Who He is, who we are in Him, and of our situation. The first step to
getting free and journeying through is to determine to take that leap of
faith to embrace His Word as absolutely true for us personally. Will we
be loyal to Him and step out on what defies our natural understanding?

When we take that leap of faith, we will find His Word no longer seems
like an unstable stepping stone, but a strong and stabilized pillar that is
solid and worthy of our trust. The bands of unbelief will be severed, but
there is more work to be done to attain complete liberty and victory.

Part 3: Ocean Breakers of Fire

In the next vision, I saw the waves of fire growing from gentle river
ripples to violent ocean breakers that absolutely engulfed me as I stood
on the pillar of stone. As I continued to stand fast to the stone, the
flames consumed the ropes of fear, doubt and unbelief – but, I was
completely unharmed!

When we make the commitment to rely on God, the fire tends to
become seven times hotter and the devil sees to it that our
circumstances contradict everything we are standing upon and
believing in. The conflict provides the opportunity for the revelation to
become a personal possession and an integral part of our being. It also
allows the Lord to prove the absolute validity of His revelation and forge
an unshakeable faithfulness in our hearts.

1 Corinthians 3:11-15
11 For no other foundation can anyone lay than that which is laid, which
is Jesus Christ. 12 Now if anyone builds on this foundation with gold,
silver, precious stones, wood, hay, straw, 13 each one’s work will
become clear; for the Day will declare it, because it will be revealed by
fire; and the fire will test each one’s work, of what sort it is. 14 If
anyone’s work which he has built on it endures, he will receive a
reward. 15 If anyone’s work is burned, he will suffer loss; but he himself
will be saved, yet so as through fire.

Jacob found himself in a river of fire; his parents sent him away from
his homeland to to escape the murderous wrath of his brother to find a
wife in a strange land. As he journeyed alone, the Lord revealed
Himself to Jacob in a dream. He imparted a personal revelation of who
He was, His purpose for Jacob, and His promise to be with him and
bring him through. (Genesis 28:10-22)

This so impacted Jacob that he commemorated the revelation with a
pillar of stone in the natural. He determined to step out on that floating
stepping stone and vowed to make the Lord his God if the Lord kept
His promise (which He did!). In the spirit, this revelation became a
strong and precious foundation that carried him through the trials that
lay ahead... and there were indeed trials ahead that tested his faith in
God and His promises.

The Lord has an amazing revelation of Himself for you that will prove to
be a foundation that secures and supports you through the fiery trials.
When the waves of fire threaten to engulf you and your faith begins to
waver, stand your ground and determine to believe no matter what
false evidence the enemy magnifies. You will not be harmed, and the
only loss you will suffer is the removal of the bonds of unbelief, fear,
and doubt. Persevere until liberty is realized.

Part 4: Behold Jesus in the Fire

In the next vision, I was standing on the pillar of stone looking for Jesus
in the raging breakers of fire. I finally gazed down at the pillar of stone
and realized with relief and delight that it was Him! His right hand held
my feet high and His left hand pointed the way to the next floating
stepping stone that I was to step out on in the river of fire.

I obeyed and continued on. This process of understanding His
revelation, stepping out on it in faith, realizing its validity, and knowing
Him in a greater way repeated over and over again as I journeyed
through the river of fire – from stone to stone, from revelation to
revelation, from liberty to liberty, from glory to glory.

In the dream, He had said, “As the unbelief is consumed by the fire, the
revelations of truth will lead you through the trials in victory. Through
the process, you will come to know Me as never before...”

Every true and pure revelation is simply Jesus Himself, the precious
stone, the sure foundation. The revelation of Jesus – of His character
and His work of redemption – becomes the pillar of stone which
upholds us in the fire. He Himself is our firm foundation. He upholds us
by the word of His power (Hebrews 1:3) and brings the direction we
need to journey through the fire in a sure and safe way.

Isaiah 43:2
When you pass through the waters, I will be with you; and through the
rivers, they shall not overflow you. When you walk through the fire, you
shall not be burned, nor shall the flame scorch you.

I cannot help but think of the three Hebrew young men in the fiery
furnace of Nebuchadnezzar. They chose to run to the flame rather than
abandon their faith; they chose to have their faith tested and purified
and proven genuine rather than save their flesh out of fear of loss of
life.

And Whom did they meet in the fire? Jesus! They would not have
received that revelation of Him if they had yielded to fear and
cowardice. And Jesus not only revealed Himself, but proved their faith
genuine and gave them the end of their faith - salvation, deliverance,
life, victory. Their faith was not put to shame, but rather their faith
praised God, honored God, and glorified Him in the fire.

What a great God we serve! It may seem like the enemy is in control of
our fiery trial, but he is not. God is! The Lord knows exactly what we
need to go through that will reveal Himself to us that is not possible in
any other way. “If need be...” We need to know Him! We need to know
what is lacking in our faith. We need to see where our faith is strong.
Weneed these fiery trials!

Courageously endure the testing and proving of your faith. You will
discover with joy that He is not only with you, but He is fashioning in
you a precious faith that brings Him glory. Above all, He is with you, and
you are seeing Him and knowing Him in a way that cannot be attained
in any other way. Trust absolutely that He will bring you through, that
this too shall pass, and He will attain the victory in you.

2 Corinthians 2:14
Now thanks be to God who always leads us in triumph in Christ, and
through us diffuses the fragrance of His knowledge in every place.

Part 5: The Glorious Temple

The final vision was a bit overwhelming and is difficult to describe, but I
will do my best to paint a picture with my words.

I saw Lord's people rising above the ocean breakers of flame
simultaneously as a mighty host. They were ascending in victory over
the river of fire. As I beheld them, a golden hue emanated from each
one. I knew it was the glory of a tried and purified faith.

The ascension continued and I saw the pillars of stone (the revelations
of Jesus) that held each person aloft; His revelation had proven to be
true and enabled them to overcome.

The ascension finished with a massive stone rising above the flames.
The feet of the stone pillars of Jesus were one with this stone. It served
as the strong foundation connecting all of the stone pillars (and the
people standing upon them) together as one body. The giant rock was
the Stone Foundation, Jesus Christ. I realized that this was the Stone
Kingdom, as revealed to Daniel.

This glorious host was perfectly one with Jesus; He was united to each
one personally while also uniting them together as one body in Him.
The river of fire had transformed the people to look just like Jesus; they
were the precious, living stones of His temple (2 Corinthians 3:18).

From heaven descended a capstone of glory, and it came to rest on the
pillars. From this new spiritual height, each person began to operate in
what I knew to be their Kingdom position, their gifting, their anointing,
and their calling - in a purity and oneness with Jesus as never before
seen on this earth in a corporate people. The seven colors of pure, holy
light radiated from them like the stars.

When the hordes of Satan’s army rose up to assault them, the light and
glory of God manifested through His people as fiery swords in their
mouths and lightning rods from their right hands. They overcame… and
GOD’S GLORY FILLED HIS TEMPLE!

Revelation 3:12
He who overcomes, I will make him a pillar in the temple of My God,
and he shall go out no more. I will write on him the name of My God
and the name of the city of My God, the New Jerusalem, which comes
down out of heaven from My God. And I will write on him My new
name.

This is not only a vision of who we will be at the end of the age, but of
who we are to be in the spirit NOW.

The river of fire is the catalyst that elevates us in the spirit realm by
pressing us to examine the Object of our faith, the quality of our faith,
and the operation of our faith. Our faith can then be cleansed from
unbelief, strengthened through exercise, and counted as righteousness
(Romans 4:19-22). Our righteousness empowers boldness, authority,
and victory.

Yielding to this process positions us to be equipped by His Spirit to fulfill
our callings and defeat Satan's onslaughts against us. The Lord is
indeed building His house and establishing His government through His
people.

It is not by our might, nor by our power, but by the Spirit of the Lord,
when we yield wholeheartedly.

Zechariah 6:12b-13
...and He shall build the temple of the LORD; 13 Yes, He shall build the
temple of the LORD. He shall bear the glory, and shall sit and rule on
His throne; so He shall be a priest on His throne, and the counsel of
peace shall be between them both.”’

CONCLUSION
1 Corinthians 4:16-18
16 Therefore we do not lose heart. Even though our outward man is
perishing, yet the inward man is being renewed day by day. 17 For our
light affliction, which is but for a moment, is working for us a far more
exceeding and eternal weight of glory, 18 we do not look at the things
which are seen, but at the things which are not seen. For the things
which are seen are temporary, but the things which are not seen are
eternal.

The weight of God’s glory that is beyond the river of fire will cause us to
treasure what He is now forging in our hearts as we journey through.
Trouble? What trouble? Let us dare to believe, dare to venture out in
faith that He is there to work in us that which is pleasing to Him – a
pure, tested, and tried faith that glorifies Him and delights His heart.

River of Fire

This article expounds a dream and a series of visions the Lord gave me
that reveal our journey through the rivers of fires we face in life.
Although we are born to trouble as the sparks fly upward, we can
choose to journey as victors and allow the fiery trials to purify and prove
our faith, so we may boldly say, “But He knows the way that I take;
when He has tested me, I shall come forth as gold.” Job 23:10
