Creation Groans

2 Cor. 5:4 “For we who are in this tabernacle do groan, being burdened: not for that we would be unclothed, but clothed upon, that mortality might be swallowed up by life.”
God, in speaking to the seven churches of Asia, gives us an understanding of the cause for tribulation as well as individual testing within the church order. God, to these seven churches speaks of His concern concerning His called people. God expresses His desire for a purified church to come forth as a prelude to judgment, a judgment that begins in the house of the Lord. Therefore as overcomers, God’s expressed desire continues in chapter four of Revelation, declaring the beginning of the last days that will usher in the establishing of God’s kingdom upon earth. In revealing these judgmental events we read in Rev. 4:1, “After this I [John] looked, and behold, a door was opened in heaven: and the first voice which I heard was as it were of a trumpet talking with me, which said, come up hither, and I will show you things which must be hereafter.”
The invitation to “come up hither,” though given directly to John, is now an invitation given to all who are desirous and willing to make the necessary ascension to God’s throne-room. John hears the voice as a trumpet speaking. This voice heard was the result of his looking. This word “looked”, as used in the above verse, speaks firmly of the act, “to see: implying not the mere act of looking, but the actual perception of the object.” Thus, a spiritual enlightenment that becomes real to John as perception reveals this “open door”. A door opened for the purpose of John seeing those things that are to come upon creation. Where was this “open door” John was seeing? Revelation reveals that it was in heaven, which is a realm of God wherein men, in their fallen corrupt condition cannot dwell. However, in the revealing of this heavenly realm, a door is open for those who hear, see, and receive, as they have the opportunity to enter.
Notice that the “first voice” being heard is as a trumpet. This trumpet sounds as a voice speaking, and when giving consideration concerning trumpets in the Old Testament, it always sounded out a prescribed call. The sound blowing today is a prescribed call from God as connected to war and the day of the Lord and should have our full attention as it blows. Zephaniah 1:14-16, “The great day of the Lord is near, it is near, and hastens greatly, even the voice of the day of the Lord: the mighty man shall cry there bitterly. That day is a day of wrath, a day of trouble and distress, a day of wasteness and desolation, a day of darkness and gloominess, a day of clouds and thick darkness, a day of the trumpet and alarm against the fenced cities, and against the high towers.” This sound coming forth is the preparing of a people for the coming judgments; the judgments of God are for but one purpose. That purpose, to purify God’s creation from its fallen condition, its state of ruin. In considering this judgment, always remember, judgment begins in the house of the Lord.
Revelation, as it comes from God and given to receiving vessels always has a divine purpose. As John declares, the ability to see those things God reveals can only come through the avenue of being in the spirit. Rev. 4:2, “And immediately I was in the spirit: and behold a throne was set in heaven, and One sat on the throne.” “In the spirit” points to the truth as to receiving and knowing God’s ways; it is only by the Holy Spirit that one receives the actual perception of what God shows. Here in Revelation that which God revealed was the throne-room of God where His fullness dwells and where man can enter by being in that same spirit. Eph. 2:6, “He raised us up together, and made us sit together in heavenly places in Christ Jesus.” This speaks of a relationship that comes from living in Christ as He lives in us while sitting upon His throne in man’s soul. The Christ in us speaks of a people of judgment that results in a people living in the throne-room authority of God. (Read Rev. 4:3-11).
Here before the throne of God we see a sea of glass that indicates the need within man for sanctification. This work of sanctification is necessary for it cleanses us and enables us to stand in God’s throne-room authority. Man has a need to be enlightened, to live in the spirit, and perceiving of the Christ as we see Him face to face. 2 Cor. 4:6, “For God, who commanded the light[underived and absolute] to shine out of darkness, hath shined in our hearts, to give the light of the knowledge of the glory of God in the face of Jesus Christ.” This speaks of a sanctified people, cleansed by God, and now sitting down (resting) with Him in the throne-room. Abiding within the throne-room speaks of change, a change from the fallen sin-nature of men to a restoration of the soul into the nature of Christ. It is within the sin nature of man that he needs salvation. Heb. 10:39, “But we are not of them unto perdition; but of them that believe to the saving of the soul.” This word “soul”, as used in this verse speaks of “the life of man, which can be lost or saved.” The soul manifests the character of the man through his mind, his will, his desires and his emotions.
What is the soul of man and its importance? It consists as the abiding place within man that expresses the four basic expressions of man’s nature, his mind, his emotions, his will, and his desires. This soul’s created purpose is to manifest the Christ nature. The fallen man, while living with a sin nature is one that flies about as a restless mind and symbolized by an eagle. Fallen man, having emotions that react as a wild animal, acting as a terrible beast and is symbolized in scripture by a wild lion. Fallen man’s will, being stubborn in all its ways, is in scripture symbolized as the stubborn oxen. Then the man, full of all manners of desires, speaks of man in his humanity, a selfish nature living continually for self. These expressions of fallen man with his sin nature, when passing through the cross of Christ and the needed cleansing by His sacrificial blood can become as a sea of glass, the product of sanctification. In knowing the necessary change in a full measure, this change enables fallen man to stand before God in the throne-room having a living soul, a new nature.
Recall, in the letters to the seven churches in Asia, God gives a specific word to each church where there existed a need to overcome. What is it that man must overcome? Could it be the nature of the fallen soul and its four avenues of expression and reaction? Concerning the mind of man, the eagle, the change comes as man’s mind ceases in desiring worldly favors and it enticements to stand only upon the word of God. God’s word when received will stop the sinful restlessness of the mind by exchanging it for God’s rest. Psalms 119:11, “Thy word have I hid in my heart, that I might not sin against you.” Verse 105“Thy word is a lamp unto my feet, and a light unto my path.”This, while impossible by men and their own strength, can be accomplished as the man draws from the spiritual strength that the Holy Spirit makes available.
The second avenue of expression from man’s soul is the emotions of the man as typed by the lion, a wild beast. Emotions, as a beast in their actions, will not know peace until changed by the power of God and the blood of Jesus Christ on the cross. Know that by establishing for self certain laws, with a desire not to react in certain ungodly ways will always fail. Why does a law fail? Because the flesh that the law works through is weak and wars against God’s nature, therefore it promotes failure. Therefore, man’s emotions need a confession before God by asking Him to deal with any wild emotions on a daily basis until perfection comes, that is taking up the cross daily.
The third avenue of expression that comes from the soul is the will of man. Here we can see a change-taking place from the stubborn oxen spoken of in Ezekiel the first chapter to a humble calf as spoken of in Rev. the fourth chapter. This change speaks of the stubbornness depicted by the oxen, but now changed into the yielded calf, which stands before the throne of God. This speaks of one who has given up his own will for the higher will of God, a dying to self to live unto God alone. Matt. 26:39, “And He [Jesus] went a little farther, and fell on His face, and prayed, saying, O My Father, if it be possible, let this cup pass from me: nevertheless not as I will, but as you will.”
Fourthly, consider the man, the product of worldly influences from his birth until his rebirth. This man, with cultivated desires conjured up by a perverted world to promote for himself some kind of worldly success. From man’s genealogy, his environment, peers, education, and culture, a selfish desire becomes his motivation and with many, they finally come to know the destructive results of that life-style. Herein, God is willing to intervene and bring change, a change from what was to what can be because of the death of Jesus Christ on the cross. This cross offers a new birth, a being born again, from the earthly into the heavenlies, a new man walking in and for the purpose of God and all heavenly desires.
Thus, a people, the first-fruits appearing of the harvest are now come. A nature now changed into:
  1. The eagle (mind) – now a flying eagle that is the first fruit saints with the mind of Christ.
  2. The oxen (will) – now the calf, the humble man having overcome his stubborn will to suck the milk of God’s word in becoming God’s will, totally dependent upon Him.
  3. The lion (emotions) – has become the lion of the tribe of Judah that breaks every chain, sitting free those who are willing to know released from that roaring lion called Satan, the father of lies    and the accuser of the brethren.
  4. The man (desires) – now a different man from the earth bound man to become, along with Jesus Christ the Son of Man, becoming the manifested sons of God.
Herein, we see the progressive growth of a fallen man, redeemed to become a member of God’s family. A many member Christ, transformed from a sinner with a sin-nature into a re-borne creation with the nature of Christ. The four beasts, the four natures of the soul, now changed unto Christ likeness, manifesting His image. The seven lamps burning are the seven Spirits of God with all the attributes of God coming forth from the soul of the new man. The sea of glass speaks of a people with clearness and purity, with nothing of the corrupt man remaining, nothing that carnality can touch. This stands in agreement and according to God’s purpose from the beginning of creation. 1 Peter 2:9-10, “But you are a chosen generation [race]a royal priesthood, an holy nation, a peculiar people, that you should show forth the praises [virtues] of Him Who has called you out of darkness into His marvelous light: Which in time past were not a people, but are now the people of God: Which had not obtained mercy, but now have obtained mercy.” The phrase, “but are now the people of God” speaks of much more than just being forgiven of our sins. It speaks of a people who no longer walk according to the sin nature. These are a people, birthed into the household of God, while taking up their inheritance as sons of God. These elect of God are those who establish the kingdom of God on earth.
These sons, the heirs of God, having been under tutors and governors have come to their appointed time. (Read Gal. 4:1-7). In this, the fullness of God’s time has come for many sons to come forth and receive their adoption, the redemption of their bodies. They now glorify God in the fullness of His purpose, having become the visible manifestation of an invisible God. It is for this manifestation of His sons that all creation groans, waiting for God’s elect, the first fruits to appear. Rom. 8:22-23,“For we know that the whole creation groans and labors with birth pangs together until now. Not only that, but we also who have the firstfruits of the Spirit, even we ourselves groan within ourselves, eagerly waiting for the adoption, the redemption of our body.”
A life lived in iniquity is a course life of bad conduct flowing from the evil desires of a fallen nature as it breaches the nature of God. In God, His sons’ no longer dwell in iniquity because the prayers of the saints and God’s fullness of time has come. Psalms 6:6-10, “I am weary with my groaning; all night I make my bed swim; I drench my couch with my tears. My eye wastes away because of grief; it grows old because of all my enemies. Depart from me all you workers of iniquity, for the Lord has heard the voice of my weeping. The Lord has heard my supplication; the Lord will receive my prayer. Let all my enemies be ashamed and greatly troubled; let them turn back and be shamed suddenly.”

LET PRAISE ROLL FORTH

I dreamt that I was at a church before the service started everyone was gathered in the sanctuary.  I had such a heart to worship that all of a sudden I started singing “I want to worship the Lord in praise!”  Let the sounds of praise roll forth!”  I got slain in the spirit and heard a heavenly choir singing a song with a heavenly orchestra backing it up.  There was a man to my side who said that he had it all recorded even though it was heard in the spirit realm.  And I said I wonder where that all took place.  And then I said New Jerusalem and the man who was able to record what happened in the spirit said, “yes!  And I said I need a copy of that!  I woke up wanted to know the words of the song that I heard in my dream.  In the dream I was trying to sing along with the heavenly choir.

As I was writing out this dream, I received the following word:

This is the day to rejoice and to break forth in praise.  The angels of praise are ready to back us up with heavenly sounds in the Spirit if we would only allow the praise to roll forth out of our hearts.  For it is time to rejoice!  It is the time to enter in like never before in one accord a melody from heaven.  Let the song of the Lord come forth.  Let the heavenly sounds come forth.  Let the angels sing!  It is beginning to rain!  The glory is beginning to fall.  Dry season is over.  It is time to bloom forth, to blossom.  Let the Gifts flow.  Let the River flow out of our hearts.  All that has been dammed up be let free!  Let hearts be healed. Let the body of Christ be of one accord.

Unite, mighty army of God.  Rejoice, for surely you have the victory.  March forth.  Let out a victory cry for surely you have the land.  I have given you authority over all the power of the enemy.  His weapons are under your feet.  Trample down every one of them with the voice of triumph, with the voice of praise.  This is the day of Jubilee, of rejoicing, for the enemy has to return sevenfold everything he has tried to take illegally.  Do not keep silent upon your beds any longer.  Let the rejoicing flow for you have much to praise about in the coming days.

Restoration is taking place this very hour.  Things you have faithfully believed for for a long time are beginning to manifest and to bloom forth.  This is the time of rejoicing for the body of Christ.  Family relationships and salvations are taking place.  Limbs are growing out.  Yes, you are beginning to run with the word of the Lord.  You are beginning to run, to dance, to twirl, to jump for joy, to sing, for surely victory has entered into your households this very hour.  I paid the price.  I have redeemed you, and I have given you My crown [trip to dentist], My sceptor, My armor, My word.  Now run fearlessly covered with My light, truth and take the land.  Yes, this is the hour of My power, says the Lord

“The Lord will shout in 2016!”
Patrick Schatzline

The year 2016 will be a year of reformation for the
believer. I have never felt such a deep stirring to bring
forth a message concerning a new year! For several days I
have felt a deep impression from the Lord that I deliver
a prophetic word for the year 2016. Each day I have sat
on an old church bench that came from New London, CT.
This old pew sat in a church that experienced the Great
Awakening in the 1740’s. As I sat in the pew to pray I
would hear over and over the Lord say to me, “Son, I will
shout over my people in 2016!” I have never written a
prophetic word concerning a new year; yet, I have
personally been deeply grieved over the last several
months. While I hold onto the vision of the Remnant
Awakening I also know that time is running out. In 2015
we have seen much of the diabolical plan of Satan begin
to reveal itself bolder than ever before. We saw marriage
redefined by an over reaching court, Isis take more
ground, the exposure of Planned Parenthoods selling of
baby body parts, and many of the main stream Christian
movements move closer towards the euthanasia of the Holy
Spirit movement. But, I am here to announce, “all is not
lost!” Wake-up and prepare yourself for a new day.

As I have already stated, I heard the Lord say over and
over to me, “Son I will shout over my people in 2016!”
This stirred me so deeply, because I once heard a
powerful quote by C. S. Lewis, “God whispers to us in our
pleasures, speaks in our consciences, but shouts in our
pains. It is his megaphone to rouse a deaf world.”[1] I
also began to study the places in the Bible where God
shouts. Here is a verse that declares the Lord’s shout in
Psalms 47:5-6, “God went up with a shout, the Lord with
the sound of a trumpet. Sing praises to God, sing
praises; sing praises to our King, sing praises.” (MEV)

I have personally heard this shout on several occasions.
Once, was in the middle of the night in Kingman, AZ, when
God awakened me in my hotel room. It was March 7, 2011,
at 3:30 in the morning, and the Lord informed me to write
my first book called, “Why is God so mad at me.” This
interruption changed everything. I also heard the Lord
say to me in July of 2014 the term “Ah Sovereign, Lord.”
This became a message of repentance and also a chapter in
my last book. My wife, Karen, also had this experience
with her first book. I also believe for many of us that
God waits till the stillness of the night to awaken us,
because during the day we speak more than we listen. The
Bible says in Psalms 78:65, “Then the Lord awoke as one
out of sleep, and like a mighty man who shouts because of
wine.” (MEV)

I asked the Lord what it meant that He would shout over
His people in 2016. He led me to Psalms 89:14-15,
“Righteousness and justice are the foundation of Your
throne; mercy and truth shall go before Your presence.
Blessed are the people who know the joyful shout. They
walk, O Lord, in the light of Your presence.” (MEV) The
shout of the Lord is “joyful” to those who know His ways!
I then heard Father say, “I have heard the cries of the
righteous and He is declaring respite for His children.
My shout will cause the enemy to coward and take refuge
from my glory.” Then He said, deliver a message to my
people.

The following is what I felt the Lord has told me to
deliver to you:

2016 will be a year of reclamation, restoration,
revolution and revival. The righteous will experience an
unprecedented awakening of those whom have grown weary
and tired in the battle. The righteous whom has lost
their will to fight will suddenly be endued with power as
never before. They will be given visions and dreams. They
will suddenly find themselves with opportunities that
have caused Heaven to smile at their obedience. Doors
will swing wide open that no man can shut. God is handing
out parchment and scrolls in prayer closets to those who
know His heart. The parchments are announcements of what
the Lord is about to do in the land, and these scrolls
have hidden in them the keys to the kingdom of God. The
Lord is clothing His righteous ones with humility and
boldness. The Lord has reserved for Himself a Holy
Remnant that know His voice. These are those whom have
decided to go deeper and walk out His precepts. Favor
will be upon their heads. They will suddenly find access
to places once considered locked, and they will walk with
supernatural influence.

There will be much civil unrest across America. The civil
unrest will be caused by different political and social
movements. It will look like the late 60’s. This will
cause the righteous to stand up and say enough! God will
awaken the mom movement. Mothers will stand up and
declare leave our children alone. There passion will be
to tell culture, government and politicians that they
will not stand by and watch their children’s identity be
stolen. If they listen to the Lord they will be more
powerful than the suffrage movement. These women will not
be led by celebrities, but by prayer warriors.

God will visit the churches that have and are declaring
His holiness and the pure Gospel. They will experience
supernatural growth. Even churches that many have said
will never grow will suddenly become shining voices in
their cities. Waves of His glory will roll through the
services like a fog in the early morning. The services
will be marked with repentance and miracles. There will
be a mass exodus from the churches that do not preach the
whole council of God. Prayer and intercession will once
again mark houses of worship. God is causing new wells to
spring up. Children’s ministries services will resound
with the sound of worship, gifts of the Spirit and
miraculous moves of God. There will be a renewed call to
evening worship in places that are hungry for more. A new
sound of worship will come forth from psalmists. This
will be a sound that is birthed by Heaven. God will
awaken older and retired ministers to realize that their
job is not complete. They will be endued with power to
once again proclaim God’s truth. Youth services will no
longer be about the crowd or the party atmosphere, but
rather sacred assemblies where God will ignite a fresh
fire.

Righteous church leaders will suddenly find their
physical and spiritual selves renewed with wings like
eagles. They will be cured of disease and find themselves
resting like never before. Mentally leaders will find
that depression has lost its grip on their lives. They
will brim with fresh vision. They will also see their
households refreshed. Their marriages will glow with
renewed love, intimacy and spiritual bonding. Their
children will become enamored with the joy of the Lord.
Prodigal children will return to the front doors to once
again embrace the awesomeness of God. The Lord will bless
their homes with uncanny finances. Many of these leaders
will be reminded of prophesies and promises from the Lord
as He brings them into fruition. These leaders will also
write books birthed in the prayer closet.

Warning: For the leaders who no longer preach a message
of conviction and truth, and those who declare their pre-
packaged humanistic messages, their words will not go
farther than the pulpit. It will be as if the people in
the congregation have earplugs keeping them from hearing.
These leaders are on trial in the court of God’s kingdom,
and if not careful they will be found in contempt. Even
now Father is visiting many of these leaders, and they
are being given an opportunity to repent. If they do not
repent they will find themselves staring at empty chairs
in their palatial structures. Their places of leadership
will be vacant. God is shouting over them.

God is visiting homes both Christian and secular. God is
restoring broken marriages. Family altars and times of
worship will be released in homes that have grown
stagnate and comfortable. God is breaking off lethargy.
There will be a renewed sense of conviction in homes that
have allowed God to be locked outside. Prayer rooms will
take over rooms reserved for guests. For the houses that
are willing to restore God to His rightful place they
will feel Him walking through their home. Healing will be
in their water. Fathers and mothers must anoint their
families. Worship will come from the bedrooms of
children. Father’s will have their voices restored as
leaders in homes where they were subjugated by culture.
They will rise early and pray. Prodigal fathers and
mothers will return to their place of leadership as the
Lord’s grace calls to them.

The gatherings of the “unknowns” will take place across
America. These gatherings will be planned and impromptu.
They will be powerful movements that lead people to
repentance and adoration. They will not be gatherings
with well-known speakers or worship bands, but rather
those whom have been awakened by the awe of the Lord will
lead them. I believe that the Remnant Awakening will be a
part of this.

In 2016 there will be a great awakening in parts of Asia,
Europe, Africa, South America and parts of the USA. The
enemies of the cross will rise against these movements
and in return they will experience great calamity and
disease. Their evil plans will be exposed in supernatural
ways. Israel will once again turn back the tide of Islam,
and its borders will be enhanced. America will experience
several close calls by terrorists and all but one will be
thwarted. This will cause our nation to once again cry
out to God. A renewed sense of God’s sovereignty will
over take many communities, and with that people will
awaken to the lies of the secularist. God’s people will
suddenly stand in opposition to the lies of the enemy.
They will find themselves marching as if to war.

There will be many outbreaks of God’s glory on university
and college campuses. Christian universities that no
longer stand behind their creed and original plan will
have opportunity to return to the Masters Plan! God will
use the quiet and meek to be a powerful voice of freedom
to those whom are blinded by the enemy.

There will also be a holy awakening of God’s love and
deliverance within the Homosexual community. There will
be those whom have experienced and know God’s presence
that will be driven to their knees. God is fiercely
jealous of His kidnapped children. He is answering the
prayers of righteous parents who are demanding that their
seed be returned.

USA Presidential Election: There will be a major surprise
during the USA presidential election. Christians must
pray for God to show them the right candidate. They must
not listen to the hype, but ask for discernment. The
church must pray for the Lord’s will to be done.

Finances: The global market will grow increasingly
unstable. Yet, the Lord is releasing finances to the
righteous. Conviction will fall upon many wealthy to sow
into ministry. This will allow the churches and
ministries that the Lord trusts to experience financial
growth for the vision. The camels are coming to the
places where they can drink fresh water. We will see the
systematic reduction of large ministries that have lost
their compass.

Lastly, the Lord declares, “that His shout will not be
heard by all, but only by those whom have made themselves
attentive to His ear!” He is close to the broken hearted
and your cries are before Him. The shout coming from
Heaven is preparation for the final shout found in 1
Thessalonians 4:16, “For the Lord Himself will descend
from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the
archangel, and with the trumpet call of God. And the dead
in Christ will rise first.” (MEV)

I challenge every believer to pray and fast! I believe
that the Lord is giving us an opportunity to change our
world. We know that in Psalms 103 it says, “The Lord is
merciful and gracious, slow to anger, and abounding in
mercy.” (MEV) Yet, we also know that in Psalms 7:11, “God
is a righteous judge, and God has indignation every day.”
(MEV)

The Lord is shouting! Are we listening? Revelation 2:17,
“He who has an ear, let him hear what the Spirit says to
the churches. To him who overcomes I will give the hidden
manna to eat. And I will give him a white stone, and on
the stone a new name written, which no one knows except
he who receives it.” (MEV) We day! The Remnant is rising!

must awaken. It is a new

The Key To Intimacy With God – Draw Near
By Gary Oates
Draw Near
Intimacy with God begins when we radically pursue Him with our whole heart. King David wrote, “When You said, ‘Seek My face,’ my heart said to You, ‘Your face, O Lord, I shall seek’”(Psalm 27:8). God invites us in James 4:8 to “Draw near to God and He will draw near to you.”
God is saying to us, “Seek my face! Draw near!” Our hearts are crying out, “YES!” But our flesh is screaming “NO!”  The sad part is our flesh usually wins.
We are instructed in Psalm 46:10 to “Be still, and know that I am God.” The wording “be still” literally means to cease from striving. It means to let go and relax, to turn down the volume of the world and listen to the quiet whisper of God. It’s getting still and coming into a place of rest. It means soaking in His Presence. The result is that you will know He is God.
The word “know” is literally an experiential knowledge of God. It’s not being still and knowing about God. It’s being still and knowing God experientially.  You will experience God. You will know the Presence of God.
As we focus our heart, spirit, soul, mind, and body (the whole person) on His manifest Presence, we become oblivious to the natural physical world around us.
The key is where your focus is— on the things of God or on things of this world.
Bible reading and prayer is not enough. We must take time alone with Him, not asking for anything but more of Him, more of His fullness, more of His presence in our everyday lives.
God releases power through us as we dwell in intimacy with Him. The natural outworking of His Presence is miracles.
How I Wait on God’s Presence
How do we soak? We soak like a sponge.  Put a dry sponge in a bucket of water and slowly the water permeates the sponge.  This is the same as soaking in God’s presence. The more we soak, the more we become filled with His Spirit.
I’m often asked, “What do you do in your time of seeking His presence?”  I don’t have a set formula. In my life, it varies from time to time, but the basic components are as follows:
I go into a private room, lock the door, and get on the floor before the Lord. It doesn’t matter whether you sit or lie down. What’s most important is the attitude of your heart. I repent of any sin in my life and I receive God’s forgiveness. I worship the Lord in both my native language (English) and in the language of the Holy Spirit. I do the vital prayer of Romans 6:13 that has transformed my life:  “...present yourselves to God as being alive from the dead, and your members as instruments of righteousness to God.”
I begin to recall experiences with the Lord (i.e., healings, miracles, provision) where He has manifested Himself in wonderful ways. This creates more of an expectancy and awareness of His Presence as I relive these times.
I tell the Lord: “God, I want more of You, more of Your Presence, more of Your fullness in my life. Fill me with more of You.”  I may repeat this statement many times as I wait on the Lord and focus on Him.
Then, I get quiet and that’s when I begin to hear His voice. Many times, I begin to have visions and supernatural experiences.
The key here is learning to wait in solitude. I cannot overemphasize the importance of waiting on the Lord until I experience His manifest Presence daily. I don’t come out of that private room until I have experienced His Presence.
During our soaking times, we position ourselves to receive impressions, nudges, quiet whispers, pictures, angelic visitations, and supernatural revelations. Here is a partial list of what to expect:
Dreams (Job 33:14-16, Gen. 28:10-16), Visions (Dan 7:1-39, Acts 16:9-10), Trances (Acts 10:9-17, 11:5), Out of body experiences (2 Cor. 12:2-4), Angelic visitations (Luke 1:57,11-17, Acts 12:7-10), Being transported in the Spirit (Acts 8:39-40)
Experiencing the true intimate Presence of the living God will radically change your life. People describe His manifest Presence in different ways. To some, it is heat, electricity, or shaking. To others, it is lightness, peace, or weeping.
Experiencing the manifest presence is not the goal but the gateway to the supernatural realm. It’s the beginning.  We go into the spirit realm where we can see Him, hear His voice, walk with Him, and be empowered by Him.
Isaiah 64:4 says God “acts for the one who waits for Him.” The Amplified version states, “God...who works and shows Himself active on behalf of him who earnestly waits for Him.” He’s waiting on us to wait on Him.
The Cumulative Effect
Sometimes we may feel our soaking time has been unproductive. We ask, “Is it worth it?” because we see no immediate change or benefit. I realized some time ago that there is a cumulative effect that takes place when I spend time in the manifest Presence of the Lord.
From this cumulative effect, God is making a deposit into my inner most being.  As I begin to give out, that anointing flows out of the deposit He had been making all along.
We must learn to come quietly into His Presence just wanting more of Him in our lives. We need to “soak in His Presence,” extracting more of His fullness into those places where we are barren. The cumulative effect of spending time with the Lord will produce an increased anointing in your life. The release of that anointing will serve as a springboard to a life of miracles.
The apostle John offers believers a mind-boggling statement in 1 John 4:17 (NASB) “...as He is, so also are we in this world.”
The implication of this verse is clear—believers should be like Him. That is next to impossible without spending quality time in His manifest Presence. We will never even understand His compassionate nature for a lost and wounded humanity without regular, daily times with Him.
 Conclusion
Intimacy with God is the simple means by which we access living in the miraculous. Spending time in His manifest Presence is the discipline we must develop to access all that God has for us. And, the cumulative effect is what happens in our anointing (or gifting) to function in healing or any of the supernatural.
God’s timing has come for greater works to be accomplished among His people. Press in for more of God’s Presence in your own life!

1 Peter 2:4-5

As Living Stones

4 Come to Him [the risen Lord] as to a living Stone which men rejected and threw away, but which is choice and precious in the sight of God. 5 You [believers], like living stones, are [a]being built up into a spiritual house for a holy and dedicated priesthood, to offer spiritual sacrifices [that are] acceptable and pleasing to God through Jesus Christ.
