Onward to Zarephath

While at Cherith, Elijah learned how those who are called to move supernaturally must receive personally from God. This established him in what mattered most to the Lord for their relationship. By doing so, Elijah was prepared for the next step that would lead to fulfillment of his prophetic word: Zarephath.

Elijah did not move from Cherith to Zarephath as the result of conducting demographic research which sociologically identified his "target audience." Neither did he go there as the result of "shop talk" about where God was moving. Nor were there pre-existing relationships which could be tapped for personal provision and ministry opportunities. Elijah heard the words, "Arise, get thee to Zarephath which belongeth to Zidon, and dwell there: behold, I have commanded a widow woman there to sustain thee." (1Kg.17:9)

This most unlikely scenario for Elijah moved him outside the zone of the promise. He was led away from the very place he prophesied over. This move seemed to have him siding against the prophesied rain (Zidon was not exactly, pro-Israel). But the present tense leading of God was to move in a direction which seemingly violated the promised destiny. We need to see from this that it will become essential to truly believe in the word God has given, yet be able to completely release holding on to it. This is because the route the Lord takes us through to fulfillment can often seem quite nonsensical, backward to what was originally promised: even like going around in circles.

It's interesting that in this season of Elijah's life, we see only a brief reminder to him about the prophecy of rain. In ministering to those who would support him, God reminds Elijah of His promise to not only support those who support him, but also that he will not lack (1Kg.17:14-16). For us and those we lead, it is a promise that if they will be faithful to follow us as we follow Christ, they will endure in the midst of any and every adverse circumstance until what God has promised is brought forth.

Growing Trust

Unbeknownst to Elijah, God has something for him in the Zarephath season that goes far beyond learning how to allow God to transform little into much, receive provision for ministry, restore life from death and bring wholeness to others. Elijah, too busy with "the now" to be obsessed about rain or trying to make that happen matures by living in the moment and ministering in it, fully confident of God's sufficiency and omnipotence. Elijah releases responsibility for the promise given to even a greater degree than at Cherith; his trust grows as he obeys God in what is set before him.

How many of us would either reject that ?Zarephath? word, or tell the one who received it: ?that can't be God.? But Elijah doesn't seem to oppose God?s leading. Why not? After all, it seemed to take him even farther away from what God had originally promised to do through him. But Elijah had learned at Cherith he could trust the Truth within the Voice. Therefore, "he arose and went to Zarephath." (1Kg.17:10)  Elijah just simply did what God told him to.

So Elijah, having left Cherith, begins toward Zarephath. By doing so he is beginning to move beyond the basics of survival in isolation at Cherith. By going in obedience to Zarephath, Elijah puts himself in position to trust that God will work through someone to provide for him. After all, if the Lord told birds what to do and they complied, how much more will He effectively communicate His will to someone made in His image (Israeli or not!)

Simple as it sounds, this can seem to be an insurmountable issue for many called to be Prophets and Apostles. Rejection, persecution, ridicule and humiliation can interfere with a foundational minister's willingness and ability to trust that God will sufficiently persuade people to be obedient on their behalf. Especially if that call moves us into unfamiliar settings, with those who either seem different, or unlikely to identify and align with our Divine uniqueness.

Trusting God in the Present

It is clear there is a flow of resource in the Kingdom of God that includes prosperity, abundance and a continuity that Apostles and Prophets must learn to receive and move in (Dt.8:18). It is my firm conviction, however, that because true trust in God is lacking, there is precious little manifestation of it. In fact, it is clear to me that many of the outlandish sowing and reaping "revelations" of this hour are motivated by fear that without "tweaking" people, there won't (otherwise) be enough money to meet ministry and individual needs. Regardless of his experience of the past, Elijah trusts God in the present. That is our call as well.

As Elijah humbles himself to receive in this new way, he moves past just issuing of words which are cataclysmic in scope, then waiting for their fulfillment. He progresses beyond that realm of "seeing, hearing and saying" God's Word and begins moving into dimensions of "going, moving and pioneering" it. All of the sudden, there is an anointing for immediacy in breakthrough and result. He begins to manifest God's power in a new way. Instead of just holding out for what God has said, he is speaking the "now" word and others are seeing it come to pass in their lives.

For us today, this should be seen as a type and shadow of moving from a predominately prophetic ministry and wineskin into a more apostolic authority of breakthrough and establishment. We must allow ourselves to move in a new way as Elijah did, that is: if we are ever going to be provided for in the place and/or way God is calling for. And in the seasons ahead, this need will only increase in both its depth and perhaps also its frequency as we allow ourselves to become moved as Elijah was: only by the Voice of the Lord.

Elijah's new season insures not only his continued provision but also keeps him on track, preparing for the showdown on Mount Carmel. I have no doubt that at this time in his journey he could not even envision such an event taking place. (We usually have not trouble imagining God fulfilling His Word, but when it comes time for His promise to manifest, the way He does it is always different than we imagined). Likewise, we are being called to battles ahead that we know not of, so we'd better obey God in the present if we want to be ready for them when they arrive without our permission or knowledge. So this time in Elijah's life serves to prepare him for the moment he will manifest to the entirety of God's people a valid demonstration, witness and opportunity to receive the One True God (1Kgs.18:36-39). Many today are perhaps called to such a moment, but they won't be chosen for such an encounter and victorious outcome without moving with God's direction in whatever season they find themselves in.

Continually Depending on God

Zarephath builds Elijah's trust for that which lay ahead: a battle and release of faith that (at his present time) he really knows little about. How many of us could benefit in the days ahead - when we are older and our flesh more "tired" from a more heartfelt, sincere trust of God built into us now? So this is Step 2 of the Supernatural Exchange: continually depending on God for everything He's led us into and promised to establish, therefore having Him loose us into a greater dimension of anointing and responsibility which consumes the entirety of our focus.

By stretching him to believe for that which the Spirit is now saying, God moves Elijah into a greater dimension of manifesting the God of Israel. This requires that Elijah remain in God's hands, willing to call others out into that dimension as well. This is how Elijah begins enabling others to live it out just as he is.

The foundations of dependency on God got rooted in Elijah at Cherith. At Zarephath he does not graduate from dependency on God. Instead, that trust in God is not just personal and private. It must now also involve God moving through others. Likewise, we will never arrive at a level of not having to believe and trust God (Heb.11:6). Instead, God will reveal Himself by showing how He moves through people, but that it must always be Him that is moving. Therefore, Elijah comes to stand in increased trust and faith, flows from it in every instance, and begins calling others into it as well. As a result, his trust and faith is secured to a greater degree, and God manifests though him more than ever, benefiting those others who are also obedient. We must be likewise expanded as Elijah was, or we cannot ever be used to expand others (as Elijah did).

To do as Elijah, we must have first received all God had for us at our own personal Cherith, because whatever strengths we receive while there (as well as weaknesses which remain untransformed) will accompany us into Step 2 at our "Zarephath." Whatever strength is in us to believe will be imparted to others who have been commanded to receive from us. But whatever weakness and fear which remains will be transferred to those who have unbelief and fear following God. The Lord wants to help us to go on to Zarephath of Zidon embracing Cherith: thankful for and building on it? not forsaking, resentful or ashamed of it. That is how we will see others transformed, not just ourselves.

As a Bride figure, Elijah is perhaps one of the primary figures in Scripture, and certainly the most dramatic. From the prophetic happenings in Elijah's life we can gain a great deal about the future Harvest separation of the Bride. Likewise, in Elisha we see a part of the commission to the next group of the Harvest, and it is here we see some of the future ministry of the double-portion Two Witnesses company.

Who is Elijah Today?

Elijah is a many-fold prophetic picture of the Bride. It is the Bride who, like Elijah, will one day be separated from the earthly realm, only to ascend alive into the presence of the King. Let's look at some details.

Elijah the Tishbite, whose name in Hebrew is Eli-Yahu or shortened to Eli-Yah, means "My Elohim is Yahu" or, "My Mighty One is Yahu." The Hebrew word Tishbite means "captivity," and appears six times. The number 6 speaks of the flesh.

The combined picture we get from these names, tells us just who this Elijah company is today. The meaning is this: "Even as the Elijah-Bride is being prepared for the bridegroom before her separation occurs, she is still in the present-day captivity of her fleshly body; yet she is full of the prophetic voice of an Elijah company, proclaiming the truth of the Living Word of Yahuweh for today."

Elijah lived in Gilgal. The Hebrew word Gilgal comes from a word that means "whirlwind." The Hebrew word for Barley also means "to sweep away, as with a whirlwind." Gilgal was the first place of encampment of Joshua and Caleb, and all Israel with them, when they first came out of the Wilderness, and "ascended up" from Jordan on the tenth day of the first month into the Promised Land. This name Gilgal reveals a many-faceted prophetic picture. While the Bride lives and abides in Him, she is eagerly awaiting her "sweeping away." She abides in a place of promised resurrection, further helping us to see the picture beginning to appear by the puzzle-pieces.

Who is Elisha Today?

It is not evident at first glance who Elisha speaks of today. Let us look at some details in Scripture.

After having served Yahuweh, the time came for Elijah to choose a successor. Yahuweh told Elijah to find Elisha. The Hebrew word for Elisha, <0477>Eli-Shua means "My Mighty One is Salvation." Known as the son of Shaphat, meaning "He has Judged/ judgment," and was of Abelmeholah — from Hebrew words <058><04246>, meaning literally "field of the dance/dancing/company" — which traces back to <04284>, meaning "thoughts/ imaginations/ cunning/ devised/ invented."

Putting together all the meanings of the names reveals a rather astounding conclusion. All the meanings of who Elisha was, reveals to us exactly who he is today. Today Elisha is: Yahuweh My Mighty One, who is bringing judgment on the field or harvest of the dancing company, and whose thoughts and imaginations of the heart, are the cunningly devised inventions of man.

Elisha's Call

The first thing we will note is that the call of Elisha occurred while Elisha was going about his daily work, perhaps years before Elijah was to leave.
19 So he departed thence, and found Elisha the son of Shaphat, who was plowing with twelve yoke of oxen before him, and he with the twelfth: and Elijah passed by him, and cast his mantle upon him.
20 And he left the oxen, and ran after Elijah, and said, Let me, I pray thee, kiss my father and my mother, and then I will follow thee. And he said unto him, Go back again: for what have I done to thee?
21 And he returned back from him, and took a yoke of oxen, and slew them, and boiled their flesh with the instruments of the oxen, and gave unto the people, and they did eat. Then he arose, and went after Elijah, and ministered unto him. (1Kings 19:19-21)
In these passages we see that Elisha showed commitment to following Elijah, but notice that Elisha showed his priorities, in wanting to first kiss his father and his mother, and then follow Elijah. The Bride will show no such inverted priorities, but will be totally committed, "following the Lamb wherever He goes..." (See Rev 14:4). Those of the Bride company place following of Yahuweh foremost, above all else.

Here we see Elisha as one who may not be ready when the first resurrection occurs. In Elisha we see one needing more time for refining, thus Elisha is one prophetic picture representing the second-resurrection saints.

Elijah's Departure

The time would come, however, when Elijah knew it was time for Yahuweh to take him:
1 And it came to pass, when the LORD would take up Elijah into heaven by a whirlwind, that Elijah went with Elisha from Gilgal.
2 And Elijah said unto Elisha, Tarry here, I pray thee; for the LORD hath sent me to Bethel. And Elisha said unto him, As the LORD liveth, and as thy soul liveth, I will not leave thee. So they went down to Bethel.
3 And the sons of the prophets that were at Bethel came forth to Elisha, and said unto him, Knowest thou that the LORD will take away thy master from thy head to day? And he said, Yea, I know it; hold ye your peace.
4 And Elijah said unto him, Elisha, tarry here, I pray thee; for the LORD hath sent me to Jericho. And he said, As the LORD liveth, and as thy soul liveth, I will not leave thee. So they came to Jericho.
5 And the sons of the prophets that were at Jericho came to Elisha, and said unto him, Knowest thou that the LORD will take away thy master from thy head to day? And he answered, Yea, I know it; hold ye your peace. (2Kings 2:1-5)
Elijah was not the only one to know beforehand when he would leave. We can see from the above passages, that Elisha knew also. Likewise, the Sons of the Prophets knew Elijah's time had come.

This is a very clear picture of today. Today there are those that are among the Elijah-Bride company, who know the time is drawing near, for them to be caught up in a whirlwind to heaven. Even today, some of the Elijah-Bride company know the season, and even a few know the day, that they themselves will be swept away. However, even as Elisha knew the time of Elijah's departure, so there is also an Elisha company today, who know the time of the Elijah-Bride's soon-coming departure.

Just as the Sons of the Prophets of Elijah's day knew the time of Elijah's departure, even today there are "Sons of the Prophets"—those "having characteristics of" the Prophets. These Prophet look-alikes are numerous today, and even some of these are beginning to know when the Elijah-Bride resurrection harvest will occur.

Elijah: A Lesson for Today

This is a great lesson for us today. Even though the Sons of the Prophets knew the time of Elijah's soon departure, they did not go up in the whirlwind with Elijah. Likewise Elisha, who knew the time Elijah was to leave, did not go up in the whirlwind.

We may conclude that both Elisha, and the Sons of the Prophets, are prophetic pictures of the second-resurrection Believers, who missed the first resurrection due to unpreparedness. However, each group has a further job to do, and each is to proceed in his own order of "ripening." Let us continue:
6 And Elijah said unto him, Tarry, I pray thee, here; for the LORD hath sent me to Jordan. And he said, As the LORD liveth, and as thy soul liveth, I will not leave thee. And they two went on.
7 And fifty men of the sons of the prophets went, and stood to view afar off: and they two stood by Jordan.
8 And Elijah took his mantle, and wrapped it together, and smote the waters, and they were divided hither and thither, so that they two went over on dry ground.
9 And it came to pass, when they were gone over, that Elijah said unto Elisha, Ask what I shall do for thee, before I be taken away from thee. And Elisha said, I pray thee, let a double portion of thy spirit be upon me.
10 And he said, Thou hast asked a hard thing: nevertheless, if thou see me when I am taken from thee, it shall be so unto thee; but if not, it shall not be so.
11 And it came to pass, as they still went on, and talked, that, behold, there appeared a chariot of fire, and horses of fire, and parted them both asunder; and Elijah went up by a whirlwind into heaven.
12 And Elisha saw it, and he cried, My father, my father, the chariot of Israel, and the horsemen thereof. And he saw him no more: and he took hold of his own clothes, and rent them in two pieces. (2Kings 2:6-12)
What do we see in the above passages? First we see the mantle parting the waters in verse 8, with the dry ground speaking of resurrection without seeing death.

Then we see the chariots and horses of fire, which parted, or divided Elijah from Elisha. This was a separation made by Yahuweh Himself.

Then we see that Elijah went up by a whirlwind into heaven. What is the significance here? The Hebrew word for the firstfruit crop Barley is from the same Hebrew root word as the word for whirlwind, signifying that this event speaks of the Firstfruit Barley, which is prophetic of the Bride resurrection.

What is the Mantle of Elijah?

Let us look next at the passing on of Elijah's mantle to Elisha:
13 He took up also the mantle of Elijah that fell from him, and went back, and stood by the bank of Jordan;
14 And he took the mantle of Elijah that fell from him, and smote the waters, and said, Where is the LORD God of Elijah? and when he also had smitten the waters, they parted hither and thither: and Elisha went over.
15 And when the sons of the prophets which were to view at Jericho saw him, they said, The spirit of Elijah doth rest on Elisha. And they came to meet him, and bowed themselves to the ground before him.
16 And they said unto him, Behold now, there be with thy servants fifty strong men; let them go, we pray thee, and seek thy master: lest peradventure the Spirit of the LORD hath taken him up, and cast him upon some mountain, or into some valley. And he said, Ye shall not send. (2Kings 2:13-16)
We see in the above verses Elijah's Mantle being passed on to Elisha. The Mantle speaks of Yahuweh's original commission to Elijah, that of proclaiming the prophetic Truths of Yahuweh, thus preparing the Way for the people of Yahuweh.

The mantle or commission of preparing the Way of Yahuweh is twofold. It first reveals the stumbling-blocks to be removed, the sins that prevent Yahuweh's people from walking in the Way. It then reveals the Way in which His people are to walk—that is, the Way in which they are to allow 'Messiah-in-them' to walk together with them, in full obedience to Torah, by the Grace He supplies while living within them.

We see in Elijah's Mantle this same commission that has now passed on to Elisha, of proclaiming, and of preparing the Way—of bringing the message of prophetic Truth (the "now" meaning of Scripture) to those remaining Believers, who would become the next phase of the Harvest.

The Hebrew word for mantle <0155> also means "glory." This Mantle is very important, for it speaks of both the prophetic message of Elijah, and the double-anointing of the Holy Spirit, that was given to Elisha, in order for Elisha to take up Yahuweh's Mission he inherited from Elijah.

So we see that Elisha's new Mantle speaks literally of the "glory" of Elijah. Even as John the Baptist went forth in the past, in the Spirit and Power of Elijah; even so once again, Elijah will go forth in the future, first in the form of an Elijah-Bride-Company, in the Spirit and Power of Elijah; and then in the form of an Elisha-Company, in the Spirit and Glory of Elijah.

The "Elijah to come" has certainly come, in John the Baptist, preparing the Way, before the Firstfruit Resurrection of Messiah. Likewise, the "Elijah to come" will again come, to prepare the Way, before the Firstfruit Resurrection of the Bride.

What of the Sons of the Prophets of Elijah's day? They continued on, oblivious to the true purposes of Yahuweh, not understanding the true prophetic import of Yahuweh's message. And so it is today, that the Sons of the Prophets will continue on in their daily lives, oblivious to all the prophetic words and events around them. And so it will continue to be, until the completion of the Harvest.


Elijah's Mantle

In ancient times, a mantle was an outer cloak worn over other clothing. While used primarily as a means to keep warm, it also served, for some people, as a symbol of authority. The English word mantle is used to translate 3 different Hebrew words of the Scriptures. The first (pronounced) sem-ee-caw, meaning a rug, was what Jael used to cover Sisera to hide him in her tent (see below). The second, (pronounced) meh-eel, meaning an outer garment, is used to describe a common outer cloak, as in the verses below involving Job, Saul, Samuel and Ezra. The third, (pronounced) add-deh-reth also means an outer garment, but is from a root word meaning power; it's used in the Scriptures to refer to the mantle of Eljiah. "Elijah took his mantle, and wrapped it together, and smote the waters, and they were divided"
In the time of Deborah, Jael used a mantle to hide Sisera. Her hospitality was merely a means to get him to drop his guard however - once asleep, she killed him by driving a tent peg through his skull. The killing was regarded as an act of war, not an act of murder i.e. "Blessed above women shall Jael the wife of Heber the Kenite ... with the hammer she smote Sisera" (Judges 5:24,26 KJV)
Elijah's Mantle
"And Jael went out to meet Sisera, and said unto him, Turn in, my lord, turn in to me; fear not. And when he had turned in unto her into the tent, she covered him with a mantle." (Judges 4:18 KJV)
The tearing of Saul's mantle was used by Samuel as an analogy for the removal of power from him.

"And Samuel said unto Saul, I will not return with thee: for thou hast rejected the word of The Lord, and The Lord hath rejected thee from being king over Israel." "And as Samuel turned about to go away, he laid hold upon the skirt of his mantle, and it rent. And Samuel said unto him, The Lord hath rent the kingdom of Israel from thee this day, and hath given it to a neighbour of thine, that is better than thou." (1 Samuel 15:26-28 KJV)
The tearing of one's own mantle was used in ancient times as a means of displaying humility and sorrow:

"And at the evening sacrifice I arose up from my heaviness; and having rent my garment and my mantle, I fell upon my knees, and spread out my hands unto The Lord my God, And said, O my God, I am ashamed and blush to lift up my face to Thee, my God: for our iniquities are increased over our head, and our trespass is grown up unto the heavens" (Ezra 9:5-6 KJV) "Then Job arose, and rent his mantle, and shaved his head, and fell down upon the ground, and worshipped, And said, Naked came I out of my mother's womb, and naked shall I return thither: The Lord gave, and The Lord hath taken away; blessed be the name of The Lord. In all this Job sinned not, nor charged God foolishly." (Job 1:20-22 KJV)
Elijah's mantle is perhaps the most famous of the Bible. It was used as an actual article of clothing by Elijah - when God spoke to Elijah, he hid has face in his mantle:

"And it was so, when Elijah heard it that he wrapped his face in his mantle, and went out, and stood in the entering in of the cave. And, behold, there came a voice unto him, and said, What doest thou here, Elijah?" (1 Kings 19:13 KJV)
Just as Moses used his rod as a symbol of his God-given authority, Elijah's mantle was used for the same purpose; Moses' rod was used in the parting of the Red Sea (Exodus 14:16), Elijah's mantle was used in the parting of the waters of the Jordan River (for other connections between Moses and Elijah, see The Forty Day Fasts)

"And Elijah took his mantle, and wrapped it together, and smote the waters, and they were divided hither and thither, so that they two went over on dry ground." (2 Kings 2:8 KJV)
When the time came for Elijah to groom a successor, he used his mantle ceremonially with Elisha:

"So he departed thence, and found Elisha the son of Shaphat, who was plowing with twelve yoke of oxen before him, and he with the twelfth: and Elijah passed by him, and cast his mantle upon him" (1 Kings 19:19 KJV)
When the time came for Elisha to succeed Elijah, Elijah's mantle, as a symbol of his God-given authority, was given to Elisha:

"And it came to pass, when they were gone over, that Elijah said unto Elisha, Ask what I shall do for thee, before I be taken away from thee." "And Elisha said, I pray thee, let a double portion of thy spirit be upon me."

"And he said, Thou hast asked a hard thing: nevertheless, if thou see me when I am taken from thee, it shall be so unto thee; but if not, it shall not be so."
"And it came to pass, as they still went on, and talked, that, behold, there appeared a chariot of fire, and horses of fire, and parted them both asunder; and Elijah went up by a whirlwind into heaven." "And Elisha saw it, and he cried, My father, my father, the chariot of Israel, and the horsemen thereof. And he saw him no more: and he took hold of his own clothes, and rent them in two pieces."
"He took up also the mantle of Elijah that fell from him, and went back, and stood by the bank of Jordan; And he took the mantle of Elijah that fell from him, and smote the waters, and said, Where is The Lord God of Elijah? and when he also had smitten the waters, they parted hither and thither: and Elisha went over."
"And when the sons of the prophets which were to view at Jericho saw him, they said, The spirit of Elijah doth rest on Elisha. And they came to meet him, and bowed themselves to the ground before him." (2 Kings 2:8-15 KJV)

Dreams Coming True

From July through the end of the year will be a time of promises fulfilled and things that we have dreamed becoming reality. These are things that God has promised you that are in line with this season of your life. It is really important to understand not only God's will but also His timing. An effective way to do that is to ask God, "What is for now and what is for later?"

This is a season of acceleration and new possibilities. The theme for the next six months is based on the principle that all things are possible for those who believe. God's love and power is unlimited and so is what we can do through the Holy Spirit.

Records Being Broken

My Spirit Connection webcast for June had record-breaking viewers. So much so, that our webserver crashed and I had to record the prophetic word last month.

My wife and I have been waiting quite some time for the value of our home to increase so that we could sell it and move back to Los Angeles. God spoke to me to put it on the market by June 30th and by July 1st we had two offers. Both were over the asking price and beyond what we expected. In fact, these offers broke records for our neighborhood.

I normally have about two hundred dreams a year that I can remember. I had nearly fifty dreams in the month of June alone! The theme is that God is breaking through what we thought possible.

7-8-9

God spoke to me that what is happening over the next three months correlates with the prophetic meaning of the number of each month. (For those unfamiliar with these prophetic meanings, the number seven refers to perfection or completion, the number eight means new beginnings and nine often represents the harvest.)

July = 7 is a time where we can expect things to be perfected; things are now coming together for the good. Watch for dormant gifts to emerge.

August = 8 is symbolic of new beginnings, and August will be a time of starting new projects. We can expect to see a lot of movement in the spiritual and natural realms. There will be relocation and changes.

September = 9 is the time of harvest big returns on what you have done previously. September 25 is significant day!

A Wave that can't Be Stopped
A few weeks ago I had a vision that a tsunami level of a wave is cresting over us right now and I heard God say, "What is coming cannot be stopped. I am repaying you now for all that was done for the good of others." God is repaying us for what we have done for others.  What you sow therefore you shall reap (Gal. 6:7). This is a season of reaping good things.

Truly I tell you, whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers and sisters of mine, you did for me.  Matthew 25:40

For those who have a lifestyle of blessing, you will receive a huge repayment.

Extra Grace Required

I keep hearing God say that we need to have a greater amount of grace and love for people right now. There are three things that will change the spiritual atmosphere around you.

·         Grace: loving people that are different than us. It is cutting people slack instead of cutting them down.

So in everything, do to others what you would have them do to you. Matthew 7:12

·         Gratitude: being grateful instead of grumbling will open a highway of blessing to you.

I know what it is to be in need and I know what it is to have plenty. I have learned the secret of being content in any and every situation, whether well fed or hungry, whether living in plenty or in want. Philippians 4:12

·         Generosity: not just your money but also your time, energy, love, and all that you have.

Give, and it will be given to you. A good measure, pressed down, shaken together and running over, will be poured into your lap. For with the measure you use, it will be measured to you. Luke 6:38

Because of the spiritual principles mentioned above and "what you sow you shall reap," if you consistently sow grace, gratitude and generosity, it will indeed open the Heavens over you.

Five Pairs of Glasses

I had a dream I lost my reading glasses and suddenly five pairs appeared supernaturally in my pocket. It is a time to let go of the old way we saw things. We will need grace to do so.

What God is doing right now is outside the box and He is on the move in people who have been wounded by a bad Christian experience. Don't be surprised if the strangest people are suddenly open with you. It is a divine opportunity to show an extreme level of grace to them.

The Balance of Preparation By Yolanda Ballard



Assume that you were the only one left on this earth with the knowledge of My saving grace who had experienced My works in your life, what would you do?  Would you stay to yourself and gloat that you have this knowledge, or would you run with it trying to get others to know of what I've done for you and expect others to receive? 

Well, I tell you this day that you alone can reach the multitudes!  Don't think that your words are not powerful for they are, because I back them up with My power and strength.  This is the day for salvation.  Choose today who you will serve.  Will you stay to yourself and hide your light, or will you go out willing and yielded so that I can use you to reach the lost?

I'm not saying to go out not directed by Me on your own with a zeal that I'm not in for you can do more damage than good when you do that.  When you do things on your own without My strength and power in your words, the effort is all in vain.  No fruit will come of it, and you can drive people away from Me, because no one is drawn in by the spirit of religion!

My Words Produce Life

You might say that My words will not return void without accomplishing what I sent them to do, and if you are speaking My words, won't they produce life?  And the answer is yes and no.  You will not reap from what a man has planted.  You cannot produce a harvest if it hasn't been rained upon by My saving grace; but a seed will be planted, and by My grace it will be watered by another man led by My spirit, and then another will pull in the harvest.  But this is few and wide where someone has been actually been saved by one's own efforts.

Many have prayed led by another to receive Me, but because I was not in it, no fruit came from it, and the person continued in their way without Me.  Many are called but few are chosen to walk the straight and narrow road for the seed gets quenched by adversity, the cares of the world, or by evil desires.  The seed never produced life to be able to grow into a strong tree.

So I tell you this day that you would be better off if you would sit at My feet and bask in My presence so I can prepare your heart.  Then you will be ready when you hear My still small voice telling you this is the way walk here in it!  Rather than going out like a gun uncocked with no direct aim knocking on doors and standing on street corners.  Yes, you might reach one in a hundred, but much more if directed by Me!

This is a choice and a decision to meet the balance with the Word that you have hidden in your heart.  Where you should go and to whom should you reach, the timing and the hour, it is all in Me what you should do.  Just be ready and yielded, and I will give you the fruit of the land.  The planting of the Lord has taken place; all you need to do is reap it!
