Comment on Leonard Cohen's A 1000 kisses deep

A very sensuous song, which reminds me of an ebook called 'Why Do Some apples Go Rotten'. This is one of my favorite songs for the same reason, its honesty, intimacy and sensitivity.
To me the lyrics are saying we missed the connection, we are prisoners of the flesh, we fail to fulfill our potential -- those "gifts" and now the boat is sinking. According to St Thomas (the apocrypha) the gifts we do not share are what will torture us later, the acts we did not...
