Pondering and praying after learning of the passing of my brother-in-law Paul yesterday. Thankful for all the evidences of his heart for God but also saddened as the memories of all the grief and tremendous pain he was dealt. Am thankful for the truth of  Isa. 63:9 In all their suffering he also suffered, and he personally rescued them. In his love and mercy he redeemed them. He lifted them up and carried them through all the years. These times are sobering reminders of the need to stay vigilant in prayer, fasting and spiritual disciplines of all means.
