The LORD has been showing me something powerful this past 
week. Every one of us want to be led by the Holy Spirit, 
which might sound like an old Christian cliché, but it 
simply means that we want to have such a close relationship 
with Him, that we recognize His leading and know His will. 

What we don’t realize is that we could become sensitive to 
His voice, know what He wants to do and say, and perceive 
the spiritual atmosphere changes around us. 

This may sound super spiritual, but it is not. When we are 
filled with the Holy Spirit and stay in tune with Him 
through His word, prayer and speaking in tongues, we could 
learn how to be sensitive to His voice. 

Prayer is not speaking religious repetitive words, but 
simple communication, conversation, decree and declaration. 
It is not commanding Jesus to do something, but rather 
acknowledging what He has already done for us on the cross 
and connecting with Him. 

He wants us to learn to recognize His voice through our 
thoughts from a renewed mind. He will begin to give us 
words of knowledge and prophetic words for others. 

He wants to give us discernment and show us deep personal 
things in a person’s heart for the purpose of praying for 
them, confronting them or delivering them from destruction. 

He wants to speak to us in dreams and visions just as He 
did throughout the bible. 

In order to have this intimate relationship, we must remove 
anything that desensitizes us from His voice. Many new 
cars have a satellite radio, which comes with hundreds of 
stations. With it we are able to tune in to any broadcast 
that we desire. 

In the natural the LORD has given us a mind in which we 
could choose our thoughts. For many of us, if we begin to 
dwell on thoughts from the past, it might bring us right 
back into that time zone and deter us from hearing the 
voice of God. If we continue in that way of thinking, 
eventually we might go back to our old ways. We will 
always go in the direction of our most dominant thought. 

The LORD says, 

“My sheep know My voice and will not submit to the voice of 
a stranger. They will follow after peace, and recognize 
the enemies’ distraction and destructive schemes. 

You have been created to have fellowship with Me, to hear 
My voice and know My ways. As your heart is submitted to 
Me, you will become sensitive to My leading. My word is My 
voice. 

As you spend time with Me in the secret place, you will 
know Me in a greater dimension. You will be amazed at what 
I will show you as you are totally submitted to Me. Forget 
the former things and do not dwell on the past. 

I AM surely doing a new thing which now springs up. As 
life support is necessary to keep a dying person alive, 
allow My word to fill you and release life into your 
spirit. Allow My word to become part of you, until your 
mind is renewed and your flesh is brought under total 
subjection. 

Through My Word, I will reveal My secrets to you. As you 
spend time in My presence, you will find that hearing My 
voice will come with ease. 

Pray in the spirit often, to build yourself up in your most 
holy faith. Soon you will find that as you continue to 
persevere immovable and unwavering, you will develop into 
that supernatural being who you were created to be. 

Don’t be afraid of change, but move forward into the 
victory that I have for you. You will no longer be 
stagnant as a dry parched land but rivers of living water 
will flow freely once again. 

Just as I had shown John an open door in heaven saying, 
“Come up here,” I AM also inviting you to come up into a 
higher realm and ascend to greater heights. 

Just as I showed Jacob a latter in a dream, I AM rolling 
out this ladder for you to climb and you will surely say: 
“Surely I was in this place and did not know it. How 
awesome is this place! This is none other than the house 
of God, and this is the gate of heaven,” 

says the LORD. 

“Then Jacob awoke from his sleep and said, “Surely the LORD 
is in this place, and I did not know it.” And he was 
afraid and said, “How awesome is this place! This is none 
other than the house of God, and this is the gate of 
heaven!”   Genesis 28:16-17. 

“For those who live according to the flesh set their minds 
on the things of the flesh, but those who live according to 
the Spirit, the things of the Spirit. For to be carnally 
minded is death, but to be spiritually minded is life and 
peace. Because the carnal mind is enmity against God; for 
it is not subject to the law of God, nor indeed can be. So 
then, those who are in the flesh cannot please God,” Romans 
8:5-8. 

“Now we have received not the spirit of the world, but the 
Spirit who is from God, that we might know the things that 
have been freely given to us by God. These things we also 
speak, not in words which man’s wisdom teaches but which 
the Holy Spirit teaches, comparing spiritual things with 
spiritual. But the natural man does not receive the things 
of the Spirit of God, for they are foolishness to him; nor 
can he know them, because they are spiritually discerned,”    
1 Corinthians 2:13-14.
