This has to be more than coincidental-at a mtg. with James Maloney, one of the prophetic/music leaders shared a picture of a banquet table which had become cluttered with a lot of stuff that was meant for Jesus to take care of/carry--not us, His people. He then saw the hand of God come and sweep the debris off the table, clearing it for it's intended purpose. In his message James shred the same thought though did not verbalize the connection, probably because it hadn't occured to him.

There is such an obvious parallel here with the space junk-there are many things, such as grudges, guilt, UN-confessed sins, unprocessed grief etc. that clutter the spaces between our hearts and minds and God. He wants to clear them away so we can be restored to the place of fellowship and delight we had in the original Eden.

Jesus Appears to His Disciples

19 That Sunday evening[b] the disciples were meeting behind locked doors because they were afraid of the Jewish leaders. Suddenly, Jesus was standing there among them! “Peace be with you,” he said. 20 As he spoke, he showed them the wounds in his hands and his side. They were filled with joy when they saw the Lord! 21 Again he said, “Peace be with you. As the Father has sent me, so I am sending you.” 22 Then he breathed on them and said, “Receive the Holy Spirit. 23 If you forgive anyone’s sins, they are forgiven. If you do not forgive them, they are not forgiven.”

Matt 11:
28 Then Jesus said, Come to me, all of you who are weary and carry heavy burdens, and I will give you rest. 29 Take my yoke upon you. Let me teach you, because I am humble and gentle at heart, and you will find rest for your souls. 30 For my yoke is easy to bear, and the burden I give you is light.”

John 20:
12 Now come and have some breakfast!” Jesus said. None of the disciples dared to ask him, “Who are you?” They knew it was the Lord. 13 Then Jesus served them the bread and the fish. 14 This was the third time Jesus had appeared to his disciples since he had been raised from the dead.

Need to edit the last comment :

The "two tree Garden" is not just a place in Genesis-we walk through it every morning & either neglect to heed the boundary--circle--at its center or heed, and believe/receive & act on the Heavenly Father's advice/command and avoid another 'fall' again as a result!
Realizing after many recent ponderings/meditations/'prophitations', that poetry is to me like Aaron was to Moses--learned this from the comments of Jason Gray, the singer/songwriter.

Looked up the following after the realization that EVIL = LIVE TURNED BACKWARDS

Playing with words can be enlightening, no doubt!

Etymology of the Word "Evil"

By Gary Amirault

According to the Dictionary of Word Origins by John Ayto, the original meaning of the English word "evil" has changed considerably over the last few hundred years. Not surprising. It seems theologians have had considerable influence upon shaping words to cause us to see according to their doctrines rather than what is plainly written. Mr. Ayto writes:
"Evil" has gotten distinctly worse over the millenia. Originally it seems to have signified nothing more sinister than "uppity," and in the Old and Middle English period it meant simply "bad"; it is only in modern English that its connotations of "extreme moral wickedness" came to the fore. It probably comes ultimately from "upelo-", a derivative of the Indo-European base "upo-, under (source of Greek hupo, under, Sanskrit "upa", at, to, and English "up" and "over"), and so its underlying connotation is of "exceeding due limits, extremism. Its Germanic descendant was "ubilaz", source of German übel, evil as well as English evil."
It seems this finding by John Ayto lines up perfectly with Scriptures. An example of this is found in Ezekiel Chapter 16 verse 49. When most Christians think of the sin or evil of Sodom, they usually think of the immoral sexual sins of Sodom of which homosexuality would be considered the height of their depravity. Yet this is how the Creator describes Sodom's condition:
Look, this was the iniquity of your sister Sodom: She and her daughter had pride, fullness of food, and abundance of idleness; neither did she strengthen the hand of the poor and needy. And they were haughty and committed abominations before Me; therefore, I took them away as I saw fit.
This passage seems to line up very nicely with the original meaning of the word "evil." The modern church generally teaches that the "evil" of Sodom is the height of wickedness and that its fate of destruction by fire is an example of the destruction of the world which has not become a part of the church. However, the Creator says there is a worse condition of "evil" than that of Sodom's. Jerusalem is a type and picture of His own people, the "apple of His eye." Here is how He describes the condition of His own people, those who certainly would not consider "Sodom" as their own sister. Speaking to His own "chosen" people He says:
Samaria did not commit half of your sins; but you have multiplied your abominations more than they, and have justified your sisters by all the abominations which you have done. You who judged your sisters bear your own shame also, because the sins which you committed were more abominable than theirs; they are more righteous than you. Yes, be disgraced also, and bear your own shame because you justified your sisters. When I bring back their captives, the captives of Sodom and her daughters, and the captives of Samaria and her daughters, then I will also bring back the captives of your captivity among them, that you may bear your own shame and be disgraced by all that you did when you comforted them. When your sister Sodom and her daughters return to their former state, then you and your daughters will return to your former state.
It seems the word "uppity" seems like a good definition for the word "evil." It also seems like the "chosen" people are more "uppity" than Sodom and Samaria. It seems almost blasphemous to think that the wickedness of the Creator's own people will justify the likes of Sodom and Samaria and that they will be restored to their former state. That Sodom, in the eyes of God, is a sister to the "chosen" people. It certainly is not a sermon I have ever heard preached in the 200+ churches I have attended. But then I never heard that Sodom's primary sin was "uppityness," fullness of food, and abundance of idleness, and not strengthening the hand of the poor and needy. I have been in many churches that are exhibiting the very sins that are ascribed to Sodom. I have never heard a preacher describe their congregation as "sisters to Sodom." Can you imagine what would happen to all the hot air evangelists spew out if we actually believed the plain Word of God that the "uppityness" of God's own people have "justified" the worst sinners in the world? Why, it would completely stop all the hot foul wind coming from these "last days revival" messages preached by thousands of "ministries" trying to raise millions of dollars to save a few more before God finally destroys this "uppity" world. We just might repent of our own "uppityness" and let God restore this whole fallen mankind to its former state. We might then find the time to "strengthen the hand of the poor and the needy."

 David Anointed 2

April 27, 2013
"Arise, Anoint him, for This Is The One"
There is a story in the bible about the calling of King David. The Lord told the Prophet Samuel to go and anoint one of Jesse's sons to be the next king. As Samuel was going through each of Jesse's sons, he first thought that Eliab would surely be the one as he was looking at his outward appearance. But the Lord said to Samuel,
"Do not look at his appearance or at his physical stature, because I have refused him. For the Lord does not see as man sees; for man looks at the outward appearance, but the Lord looks at the heart."
As each of Jesse's seven sons passed before Samuel, he told Jesse that the Lord has not chosen these. When he asked if there were any other sons, Jesse said yes the youngest who is tending the sheep. When Samuel had seen David, the Lord said to him, "Arise, anoint him; for this is the one!" Then Samuel took the horn of oil and anointed him in the midst of his brothers; and the Spirit of the Lord came upon David from that day forward.
The Lord says, just as I have called David who was a shepherd boy to be a king, I have called you to an extraordinary life. Just as I anointed him and raised him up to be a mighty warrior, I also call you. There is no need to be fearful or fainthearted because  you will go in My strength and anointing. You will know the authority that I have placed on your life as I raise you up and call you a warrior. As the world looks at you and see's your faults and failures, I see you as the person who I have created you to be. Don't see yourself as being defeated, neither see yourself as the person who you once were because I have created you to be a giant slayer. You will arise and defeat the powers of the enemy because you have been called to greatness. You have been created for My end time army. Just as David confronted and killed Goliath, so shall you stand against the giants and conquer them. Just as David killed the lion and the bear, you are well able to overcome every obstacle and adversity that comes against you.
I will train your hands for war and your fingers for battle. I have gifted you and called you to do great exploits. I have created each one of you for a unique purpose and placed My anointing on your life. I strategically designed each one of you to be different from the others. Don't try to emulate the calling of someone else but imitate their life by following their blameless lifestyle and holy way of living as you clothe yourselves in robes of righteousness. I have given you the personality and the temperament to be just as you are and to do all that you were called to do. You are unique because you are not of this world but you have been set apart for such a time as this. You have been chosen for a particular assignment. As you stay steadfast in your convictions and uncompromising in your walk with Me, I will visit you in a mighty way.  As I anointed David, I now anoint you, saying "Arise, anoint him, for this Is the one" says the Lord.

1 Samuel 16: 5-13

1 Samuel 17: 37
Moreover David said, "The Lord, who delivered me from the paw of the lion and the paw of the bear, He will deliver me from the hand of this Philistine." and Saul said to David, "Go and the Lord be with you!"

1 Samuel 17:49- 51
Then David put his hand in his bag and took out a stone; and he slung it and struck the Philistine in his forehead, so that the stone sank into his forehead, and he fell on his face to the earth.  So David prevailed over the Philistine with a sling and a stone, and struck the Philistine and killed him. But there was no sword in the hand of David.  Therefore David ran and stood over the Philistine, took his sword and drew it out of its sheath and killed him, and cut off his head with it.

1 Samuel: 30:6
Now David was greatly distressed, for the people spoke of stoning him, because the soul of all the people was grieved, every man for his sons and his daughters. But David strengthened himself in the Lord his God.

Floating 7-Foot Head Leaves Rowers Scratching Theirs

The crew team at New York's Marist College came across a puzzling sight this week when a large, foam head, floating in the Hudson River, crossed their path toward the end of their morning row.
While on the river Monday morning, crew coach Matt Lavin was the first to spot the mysterious 7-foot-high, fiberglass-c0vered head, which is 4 to 5 feet wide. The ominous sighting gave the coach pause, and he had his team stay back as he approached to investigate.
"[Lavin] was in a small motor boat beside the team," Greg Cannon, director of public affairs for the Poughkeepsie school, told ABCNews.com. "He didn't know what it was at first, but saw it was an obstruction that would have been in the way of the shipping channel. So he went out to investigate."
Once he realized he wasn't in a scene from "The Planet of the Apes" and that it wouldn't be terribly heavy, he wrapped a line around the head and towed it himself. The crew team then helped him pull in from the water.
"They pulled it in and it's some kind of Styrofoam core with a fiberglass shell over it," Cannon said. "Enough of the foam was exposed that it got water logged. It had gotten pretty heavy. Members of the team helped drag it up onto the dock."
As for where the head came from, that's still a mystery, but Cannon said he's open to any theories.
The most compelling theory he has heard? The head is from a Mardi Gras float, was washed away by Hurricane Katrina and, eight years later, somehow ended up in the Hudson River.
Cannon laughed that off, but said that it could be close.
"It could have been washed away in a storm," he said, "maybe even Sandy."

Misty Edwards - Jesus, Lover of My Soul + Let It Rain + Wake Me Up (IHOP...

Let it be  done unto me as with Mary!
Pondering and praying after learning of the passing of my brother-in-law Paul yesterday. Thankful for all the evidences of his heart for God but also saddened as the memories of all the grief and tremendous pain he was dealt. Am thankful for the truth of  Isa. 63:9 In all their suffering he also suffered, and he personally rescued them. In his love and mercy he redeemed them. He lifted them up and carried them through all the years. These times are sobering reminders of the need to stay vigilant in prayer, fasting and spiritual disciplines of all means.

White Flag Winners
That area you have insisted on controlling, that part of you you've just stubbornly refused to yield, where you have insisted on things being your way - it's time to drop your sword and raise your white flag. It's time to surrender. In the shadow of your Jericho, this is your facedown on the ground crossroads. When it's Jesus you surrender to, surrender doesn't mean you lose, it means you are on the verge of some of the greatest victories of your lif

Literature adds to reality, it does not simply describe it. It enriches the necessary competencies that daily life requires and provides; and in this respect, it irrigates the deserts that our lives have already become.

“TO BE HOPEFUL in bad times is not just foolishly romantic. It is based on the fact that human history is a history not only of cruelty, but also of compassion, sacrifice, courage, kindness.
What we choose to emphasize in this complex history will determine our lives. If we see only the worst, it destroys our capacity to do something. If we remember those times and places—and there are so many—where people have behaved magnificently, this gives us the energy to act, and at least the possibility of sending this spinning top of a world in a different direction.
And if we do act, in however small a way, we don’t have to wait for some grand utopian future. The future is an infinite succession of presents, and to live now as we think human beings should live, in defiance of all that is bad around us, is itself a marvelous victory.

"A WAY OF ESCAPE"

Since the beginning of time people have been looking for a way of escape. They may be unhappy, insecure or just bored with their lives and they want to escape reality. Many are looking for a way of escape from emotional pain, physical pain, tormenting thoughts from their past, financial difficulties or toxic relationships. People find ways of escape through alcohol, drugs, eating, sleeping, watching television, or by spending hours on the internet. Some Christians lives are not going in the direction in which they thought that it would go. They want to go back to their past but they can't because they came too far to turn back now. They feel stuck in the middle of two realities, the natural world and the spiritual realm.
There is a scripture in the book of John chapter six where many of Jesus disciples no longer wanted to follow Him and they turned back. When Jesus asked His twelve apostles if they would go back, Simon Peter responded: Lord to whom shall we go? You have the words of eternal life. Jesus has made a way of escape for us. It is not to escape reality but to come into a higher reality of His nature and His provision.

The Lord says, I have provided a way of escape. It is not a way to escape from reality but it is a place where you will make your relationship with Me part of your reality. It is a way of escape from adversity. It is a place of refuge where you could cast all your cares on Me, as you allow Me to bring your life into alignment with My spiritual principles. As you learn how to bring your natural situations into the light of My word, you will find your dilemmas will begin to cease. As you seek My wisdom, you will find the answers to your problems. It is a place to come during trying times. As you take your eyes off your circumstances and turn your focus on Me you will learn how to enter into this place. As you come into this place of abiding in Me, you will experience My ways and learn My voice. As you come into this place of rest you will develop your communication with Me and find peace. This is the place where revelation is deposited, My gifts are cultivated and My Word comes alive. This is where you will receive refreshing to your soul.

It is not to escape reality but it is a way of escape out of business and the distractions of the world. I invite you into this place with Me where you could lay your burdens down. I have provided a way of escape from temptations. Here you will find safety and peace. Allow Me to usher you into that secret place and introduce Myself to you in a new way. As you learn how to dwell in this place, you will no longer live in turmoil but you will encounter the shalom of heaven.  As you learn to abide in My presence, you will find fullness of joy. You will be free from the fears and the concerns of what your future may hold. You will be free from others opinions of you. My anointing will be released to you and you will encounter Me in a new way. You will no longer be conformed to the ways of the world as you learn My realities and submit your life to My ways. As you come into My presence, you will find shalom because this is where My glory dwells says the Lord.

Psalm 16:11
You will show me the path of life; In Your presence is fullness of joy; at Your right hand are pleasures forevermore.
Psalm 32:7
You are a hiding place for me; you preserve me from trouble; you surround me with shouts of deliverance. Selah
John 6:66 -69
From that time many of His disciples went back and walked with Him no more.  Then Jesus said to the twelve, "Do you also want to go away? But Simon Peter answered Him, "Lord, to whom shall we go? You have the words of eternal life. Also we have come to believe and know that You are the Christ, the Son of the living God."
1 Corinthians 10: 13
No temptation has overtaken you except such as is common to man; but God is faithful, who will not allow you to be tempted beyond what you are able, but with the temptation will also make the way of escape, that you may be able to bear it.

Kris Kristofferson - Burden of freedom

Kris Kristofferson - Here Comes That Rainbow Again

Pain can never be escaped from, only passed on, until it reaches a Cross.

That there is never an escape from pain — suicide, drugs, alcohol, addictions, distractions — nothing on this planet eradicates pain. You can’t escape pain — you can only pass pain on, or nail it to a Cross.

Until pain is taken to the Cross, until pain is absorbed into a cross, pain is always passed on…. passed back and around and on.

Someone’s got to take up a cross. Someone’s got to take it to Jesus.

Your Voice

Dawes - From a Window Seat (Live on 89.3 The Current)

Cendoya and Jack are believed to have gone off the trail near Holy Jim Trail, a tree-lined dirt path along a creek that leads to a waterfall and is popular with day hikers.
In the 911 call, they said they were about a mile from Jack's car, which was parked at a trailhead, but rescuers expanded the search when they weren't found nearby.
The area is in a section of the national forest in the Santa Ana Mountains, which lie along the border of Orange and Riverside counties southeast of Los Angeles. The trail ranges in elevation from about 2,000 feet to about 4,000 feet.

Comment on Leonard Cohen's A 1000 kisses deep

A very sensuous song, which reminds me of an ebook called 'Why Do Some apples Go Rotten'. This is one of my favorite songs for the same reason, its honesty, intimacy and sensitivity.
To me the lyrics are saying we missed the connection, we are prisoners of the flesh, we fail to fulfill our potential -- those "gifts" and now the boat is sinking. According to St Thomas (the apocrypha) the gifts we do not share are what will torture us later, the acts we did not...
