“For behold, the winter is past; the rain is over and gone. The flowers appear on the earth, the time of singing has come, and the voice of the turtledove is heard in our land.”
Vision: Seeing bright, long-stemmed white lilies with their inner center – their hearts – opened wide upward toward heaven.
INTERPRETATION:
GOD’s people are often biblically illustrated as seeds, plants and trees. Spring! What a perfect time for the spiritual blooming of lilies following the cold of winter and a season of life’s burdens. Spring! A time when faithful Believers also commemorate the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ: the most supreme Lily of all. Spring! That season Jesus said would precede His coming. Spring! When tired, sick or wounded hearts look up with spiritual longing toward the healing Sun of all righteousness. A heavenly Sun and Lily who now adorns the Believer’s living temple. A temple with pillars not pitched with hands but made righteous and holy in the white emblematic meaning of our crucified and resurrected Lord whom I am also symbolically seeing in vision as our heavenly King!
Jesus said that, unlike King Solomon, the humble lilies were clothed with greater glory because they relied on GOD for all things. Grown from mere seeds against earthly elements, Lilies grow and mature in the Lord’s Word and Holy Spirit. They have learned not worry, not to toil nor spin. They have finally learned to keep their hearts focused upward towards heaven from where the Light of GOD infiltrates them with life, blessings and heavenly radiance. Indeed, consider the flowers and how they bloom. Consider then how much more, you as a holy planting of the lord, have been destined to blossom!
The Lily, such a beautiful and especially meaningful symbol for Spring 2017.
Related Verses:
As the lily among thorns so is my love among my daughters. (Song of King Solomon)
I will be as the dew unto Israel: he shall grow as the lily, and cast forth his roots as Lebanon. 6His branches shall spread, and his beauty shall be as the olive tree, and his smell as Lebanon. 7They that dwell under his shadow shall return; they shall revive as the corn, and grow as the vine: the scent thereof shall be as the wine of Lebanon. 8Ephraim shall say, What have I to do any more with idols? I have heard him, and observed him: I am like a green fir tree. From me is thy fruit found.
Therefore I say unto you, Take no thought for your life, what ye shall eat, or what ye shall drink; nor yet for your body, what ye shall put on. Is not the life more than meat, and the body than raiment? Behold the fowls of the air: for they sow not, neither do they reap, nor gather into barns; yet your heavenly Father feedeth them. Are ye not much better than they? Which of you by taking thought can add one cubit unto his stature? And why take ye thought for raiment? Consider the lilies of the field, how they grow; they toil not, neither do they spin: And yet I say unto you, That even Solomon in all his glory was not arrayed like one of these. Wherefore, if God so clothe the grass of the field, which to day is, and to morrow is cast into the oven, [shall he] not much more [clothe] you, O ye of little faith? Therefore take no thought, saying, What shall we eat? or, What shall we drink? or, Wherewithal shall we be clothed? (For after all these things do the Gentiles seek:) for your heavenly Father knoweth that ye have need of all these things. **But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you. Take therefore no thought for the morrow: for the morrow shall take thought for the things of itself. Sufficient unto the day [is] the evil thereof.**
Keep the Faith in the Lord and His finished works during this special season.
