Yesterday evening I was at the home of my pastors. Their home is on sort of a hill with a spectacular view of the mountains which are 30 min to an hour drive away from us.
As I arrived there, my attention was naturally drawn to the setting sun over the mountains.
I could see the foothills. Since we have been having wonderful moisture and cooler weather, there was a golden mist on & around the foothills. Then, just becoming visible in a mist somewhere above the foothills were the Twin Peaks as they are called. Long's Peak & Mount Meeker. There was a bit of thicker clouds so that the peaks appeared to be floating in mid air and they seemed etheral as they were swathed in the mist, but still visible. And the golden orange sun, the hills and the clouds all a golden color.
I was awestruck by this beautiful display, and heard the words in reference to the peaks: The Kingdom of God.
I am reminded of the experiences of Ezekiel, Isaiah, John when they saw the Throne & Kingdom of God descend upon earth from heaven.
The foothills recalled to me the heights to which God's people have ascended thus far. Covered with the Glory and Light of God as they were, this was a part of the journey. The same journey made by Ezekiel, Isaiah, John and all others who saw the mountain of God lowered to the earth. (IS 6, Ez 1, Rev 21, also Rev 4) Those who have reached the heights have caught a glimpse of this Kingdom and looked with longing on it. But -- ya can't get there from here! --
That's right, there is no way to get from the highest of the foothills (incidentally, our foothills are bigger than many mountains in many places, our plains are over a mile high) He has indeed led us up those hills, but His kingdom is not accessible by them.
I believe that He is saying that the twin peaks represent Israel and the Gentile church. There could also be other applications. Another thought that came was Wisdom & Revelation. And that the Spirit of Wisdom & Revelation will give those willing to walk in it to come to that Kingdom reality.
Many of us have had flashes of experiencing and walking in the Kingdom of God. It is closer to the earth and more visible than ever before. see iiCor 2 especially 9-10, see Eph 1 & 2 !!, We began praying those Ephesians prayers over ourselves in the late 70's & 80's. Take another & deeper look at them now! It's time to step into a greater and deeper revelation of this!
See Davies Nderma's prophecy! Pull out those Ephesians prayers which were prayed & declared in times past. Enter in!
I also was reminded of something else which descended from heaven in a vision -- it was Peter's vision in Acts of the sheet. I believe that this too was a vision of God's Kingdom coming to earth! How He took the unclean and through His touch has made it clean! Let us therefore not call unclean what God has called clean! He has the power and the will to cleanse & purify everything by His touch. For Peter, it was the Gentiles. What is it for us? For me? For you? Who have we withdrawn from in disgust & with revolting? (for some of us it might even be ourselves) He says that what He has made clean is clean.
It is possible in His Kingdom to receive the people without taking unto ourselves that garment spotted by sin! Ask any evangelist. Ahhhhh...but there is more to this truth than just evangelism.
I ask, Lord that you will unfold more on this soon! We need to know, open our eyes Lord!
Love, DD
