While driving by a billboard on the side of the highway that read “TRUE NORTH”, the following Word was instantly spoken: “HOME”.

The Bible teaches us that heaven, that unfathomable place where GOD’s throne of glory, justice and judgment is located, is positioned in the North. (Ps. 48:2, Ps.89 :11-12). That we are instructed to “look up” for our redemption draws nigh, clearly positions the earth in a southern direction below heaven.

It’s interesting and significant that natural laws associated with time here on earth applies only on an eastern to western timeline (when the sun rises and sets) but that no such natural laws are in effect between the south (down) and True North (up). It all makes sense considering that GOD (whom Jesus described as being a Spirit) dwells up in heaven in that awesome place outside the boundaries of natural laws associated with space and time. In that place where there is no natural sun because the Lamb is the light! In that awesome, special, restricted and protected upward place where angels are known to have descended downward to earth and ascended upward to heaven on a ladder as seen by Jacob in his dream in Bethel (City of GOD). First Testament occurrences amazingly parallel and forelight New Covenant revelations. In a dream some years ago, I saw a rectangle-shape stone that looked like a pillow resting outside someone’s front door. Immediately I thought of Jacob’s stone pillow. Later on corn and other things (provisions) appeared there. It meant that when we rest that upward part of ourselves, our heads, our minds, in Christ’s authority who is the Rock and the Stone, a Believer is able to receive wisdom and provisions from heaven’s gates right there at the doorstep of one’s feet, one's soul, on earth no matter where in the world one is located. Jacob who was promised the land of Canaan made an altar out of that pillow and anointed it with oil. In accordance with New Covenant understanding, Jacob’s pillow is the altar, is the Stone, is the Christ on Whom a rested and a newly restored and Holy-Spirit filled mind is able to commune with heaven...with our true HOME. And we can never really feel isolated nor really alone when we are truly connected with Home.

We read that Jesus, that heavenly stone and King of Heaven, had no place to rest His head on this earth; yet He sacrificially died so that we can now rest ours on Him. No greater love is there than our FATHER who sent His Son to fullfill His great masterplan. No greater love is there than HIS Son who died for us!

In the First Testament, the children of Israel physically left Egypt and eventually headed north to the promised land; it now parallels and forelights redeemed souls spiritually coming out of the world of bondage and heading upward toward a promised heavenly home. A home on earth and a home in heaven.

“Thy kingdom come on earth as it is in heaven.”

Related Verses:

These all died in faith, not having received the promises, but having seen them afar off, and were persuaded of them, and embraced them, and confessed that they were strangers and pilgrims on the earth. For they that say such things declare plainly that they seek a country. And truly, if they had been mindful of that country from whence they came out, they might have had opportunity to have returned. BUT NOW WE DESIRE A BETTER COUNTRY, THAT IS, AN HEAVENLY; WHEREFORE GOD IS NOT ASHAMED TO BE CALLED THEIR GOD FOR HE HATH PREPARED FOR THEM A CITY. (Heb. 11:13-16)

True North. Home.

GOD’s WORD is awesome! Keep the Faith!
